Once you arrive at this address, you will enter the gate on your right, and park in the large paved lot.
The Chamber 5K on the Runway is a 5K on the Vero Beach Regional Airport taxiway and runway beginning at 5:00 PM. This professionally chip-timed event will offer a unique race opportunity on a real airport runway making it a perfect fit for runners, walkers and families at all fitness levels. The course is flat and completely paved making it stroller and wheelchair friendly. Shirts guaranteed for the first 400 runners!!
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and the Indian River County Leadership Foundation.

Important Rules from the Airport:

For your safety, no one is permitted to leave the track/runway at any time during the race. Please do not go on the grass.

No sporting equipment such as frisbees, soccer balls, etc. allowed.

When you cross the finish line, you will not be allowed to go back out onto the track. After finishing, please follow the directed exit route to the water and snack station.

In order to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the airport, please make sure to dispose of any trash or race materials in the designated bins.

About Vero Beach Karate Association & USKJA College Scholarship Fund:
The Vero Beach Karate Association has been teaching martial arts in Indian River County for 53 years, offering family-oriented karate and self-defense instruction. Our founder, Mr. Willis, decided in the early years of this Association that the martial arts program could be a vehicle for developing people in all areas of their lives, physically, mentally, and socially.
Academic success is very important in our program, and we encourage it in many ways. The pinnacle of our support comes from our scholarship program, which began in 2001 and became a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) under the name United States Karate Jiu Jitsu Scholarship Fund. Each year, Black Belt High School Seniors are awarded money to go towards college. Students who earn their Black Belts with VBKA and are going to college can receive scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,000.
