Join us March 28, 2026 at South County Regional Park (670 Cooper St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950) for a high-energy, heartwarming morning celebrating children, families, and community — and standing together to prevent child drowning. Be part of Movement, Remembrance, and Action.
Why we gather
Founded by Paul DeMello in loving memory of his twin sons, Christian and Joshua, the Twins TOT Walk/Run now honors all children while raising funds and awareness for Just Against Children Drowning to provide life‑saving swim lessons and water‑safety education.
Who can come
Family-friendly and welcoming to all ages. Dogs on leash and strollers are allowed (for safety, they will start at the back). Can’t be there in person? Register as a Virtual Participant and join the cause from anywhere.
How to participate

Chip‑timed 5K run/walk — chase a personal best and compete for awards.

Vigil Walk — a gentle, reflective tribute to remember children lost and promote water safety.

Join the us for a burst of spring colors at South County Park in Punta Gorda with the Color Hop 5k Run Walk and Bunny Trail Egg Walk! This family friendly event is perfect for all ages, with options for a timed 5k entry or untimed 5k walk, AND a special event for kids ages 10 and under- the Bunny Trail Egg Walk!
Color Hop 5k Run/Walk
This beautiful course around South County Park and through 3 spring themed color blast stations! Wear white for the best results. Our color powder is food grade and safe for all!
Bunny Trail Egg Walk- ages 6 and under
Your little one will have a blast going through an enchanted path of color stations and egg hunting on a short loop around the park! They'll even receive a special souvenir medal at the finish line!
Proceeds from this event will benefit Girls on the Run SWFL and Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity.

Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity's "27th Annual Turkey Trot" presented by Southern Oxygen & Welding Supply and hosted by Florida SouthWestern State College!
Come join Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity's Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. This family-friendly 5K event is located on the scenic campus of FSW College, Punta Gorda Campus. This event has been a beloved tradition for friends, family and fitness enthusiasts for over 27 years - and the only race where you can chase a Bicycle Riding Turkey! Join us as we wobble before we gobble!
Proceeds and donations for this event go to help bring affordable housing solutions and the dream of homeownership to families in Charlotte County. We couldn't do it without you!!
Important Information:
Youth Registration: Ages 3 & Under - Free (If race shirt & medal are wanted, please sign up under Fun Walk and pay the youth fee of $25)
Ages 4-14 years - Only $25 (Price will be adjusted at checkout)
All participants will receive a finisher medal and race shirt (if registered by the deadline) Race Shirt Deadline is Sunday, October 19th, 2025
