    • ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES.

    • PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED

    • DO NOT RACE ON THE SIDEWALK, RUN THROUGH PRIVATE PROPERTY, OR RUN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IN MOST CASES YOU SHOULD BE RACING WITH TRAFFIC. (FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE COURSE IS MARKED WITH ARROWS & CONES SO RUNNERS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF WILMINGTON AND CHRISTIAN STREETS, THEN NO RUNNER SHOULD BE ON THE LEFT SIDE FACING TRAFFIC). ALSO, WHEN THE RACE IS DIRECTED AROUND A CONE OR CONES, FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN CUTTING THE COURSE.

    • FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER. RACE DIRECTOR TIM-SS

    SEASHORE STRIDER GUIDELINES:

    • THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED IN A SEASHORE STRIDER EVENT...THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS...RD TIM-SS
    • BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE ON THE COURSE RIDING ALONG/PACING ANY REGISTERED RUNNER

    • BANDITS (NON REGISTERED) RUNNERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE IN THE RACE RUNNING ALONG/PACING ANY REGISTERED RUNNER

    • HEADPHONES/EAR PODS ARE DISCOURAGED WEARING IN BOTH EARS DUE TO SAFETY OF HEARING TRAFFIC

    COURSE SAFETY.

o THIS IS A TOUGH RULE TO ENFORCE AS 85% OF RUNNERS IN RACES LISTEN TO MUSIC AND THE RRCA RECOGNIZED THAT AND MOVED THE ENFORCEMENT FROM A DISQUALIFICATION TO MAKING IT THE RACE DIRECTORS DECISION. MOST RACE DIRECTORS IN THE COUNTRY EITHER IGNORE THE ISSUE OR TRY TO WORK WITH THE RUNNERS. MY STAND AS A RACE DIRECTOR IS TO ASK YOU TO NOT WEAR THEM AND IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST THEN ONLY WEAR THEM IN ONE EAR AND AT A LOW VOLUME LEVEL.

    RACE TIMING:

    • Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

    • 13:44 per mile pace cut off time which is a 3 hour half-marathon.

    • At the 11:15 am start to the Awards Ceremony, there still may be folks on the course as the cutoff is 3:00:00 or an average of 13:44 min/per mileHere are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off.

    1m- 13:44

    2m- 27:28

    3m- 41:12

    4m- 54:56

    5m- 1:08:40

    6m- 1:22:24

    7m- 1:36:08

    8m- 1:49:52

    9m- 2:03:36

    10m- 2:17:20

    11m- 2:31:04

    12m- 2:44:48

    13m- 2:58:32

We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 13:44 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner. Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

Come join us in this historic event along the scenic coastline of Delaware, our First State, to support our Wounded Warriors and Homeless Veterans. The event is OPEN TO ALL! Our vision is to bring our military and civilian communities together to build stronger relationships. The race will encompass trails on the beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. All races start and finish at the same location.

ALL THREE RACES ARE USATF CERTIFIED

Beginning at the American Legion, Post 17, Lewes. Participants will travel through Cape Henlopen State Park and the historic Fort Miles. The event is divided into a 5k, 10K and Half Marathon Challenges. Participants are able to choose to compete in a Run, March (race-walk) and Heavy March (Trail race with 15lb. pack).

Packet pickup will be done on Friday, May 8th, at American Legion Post 17, Lewes, DE (113 American Legion Road), from 5pm – 8pm. Between 6pm-8pm the Post will have a LIVE BAND! 10K - https://youtu.be/omFXv6_ftVU

    HALF MARATHON - https://youtu.be/_gJ14b_SRg4

The event has three major components: Competition, Education, and Celebration. The race through the state parks and beaches of Delaware is a competition for all levels and will honor the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedoms in the Middle East. The finish line will encompass the other components. With the assistance of volunteers, a Middle East Historical Exhibit will be available for everyone to enjoy. This walk-through history will help connect our communities with the military members attending the event. Lastly, there will be a “Celebration of Warriors” with local vendors will be available from 8:30am – 3pm. Live bands will start at 10:00am and play until 3pm. Stay, enjoy the celebration, and connect with people, military and civilian, from across the United State of America.

Everyone pre-registered by May 3, 2026 will be guaranteed an event t-shirt at check-in. Everyone racing will receive a race medallion when they cross the finish line and will leave with the knowledge of participating in an event which truly supports and honors our Veterans! Our women and men deployed to the Middle East do not stop due to the weather; so, rain or shine (not to including weather which makes the environment unsafe to be outside), come out and enjoy our race and festivities. For more details and the rules of the race, check us out at Race4Warriors.org. On behalf of myself and our Board of Directors, made up of all retired Chief Master Sergeant First Sergeants, thank you for considering joining the Race4Warriors!
