The Bike Hub is proud to announce our Sunday Epic ride series! These are all-day rides featuring some of the best mixed-terrain riding the tri-state area has to offer. Forgotten woods roads, fast
gravel, rugged singletrack, and even a bit of hike-a-bike. These rides will be long, difficult, and absolutely beautiful. While there is no perfect bike for a Sunday Epic, anything with around a 2 inch tire will work. More details on terrain will be included in each event post. Sunday Epic's will be held the third Sunday of every month from April-September. Start location may vary, but will usually end will some sort of food and drink situation. Wheels down at 8am always.
This round we are headed down under to Adams Massachusetts. Meet at the Ashuwilltacook Rail Trail parking on Hoosac street. The route will take us deep into Savory, where all of the “problem bears” from around the state are released. Tons of forgotten woods roads, super scenic. We'll drop into Hawley, Brier, Windsor, and tons of other cool little towns. Forgotten graveyards, vast swamps etc. I've only ridden some of this before so there might be some surprise re-routes or hike-a-bike - all part of the fun! Gravel bike with 2 inch tires or wider is recommended. Hardtail mtb is fine too.
A few notes on the nitty-gritty of these rides.
Sunday Epic's are fully self supported. Bring everything you need to successfully finish the route. We expect you to carry basics like spare tube, pump, multi-tool, patch kit, food and water, etc. Although we occasionally stop at a convenience store, there are many times where the ride is too remote for that to be an option.
We generally try to ride together, but you are welcome to do your own thing as long as you have the route. Group pace usually hovers somewhere around the 10mph average mark, but may be slower depending on terrain/climbing.
Expect this to take a good chunk of the day. Occasional stops for snacks etc. We move pretty continuously, but also aren't in a rush.
Join us for post-ride food and drink after, location tbd.
RideWithGPS link here.
Note that we don't charge anything for these rides, but we do welcome donations! We are a community-based 501c3 nonprofit focused on removing barriers to cycling for all within the tri-state area. We provide education, free access to bikes and cycling accessories, and provide a place for people of all ages and abilities to connect through cycling. For more info on our shop and programs, click here. Thanks!

Race Start Time and Location:
We are extremely excited to host our one and only triathlon in the all beautiful Palisades Park in New Jersey! This is our second year running the race as well as our
interest in expanding more races outside of NYC. With a gorgeous view of the Hudson River, also known as the River Road, and the undulating Henry Hudson Dr, it makes for a very challenging and rewarding course in swimming, running, and biking. As this is an open water event in the Hudson River, the swim can sometimes be challenging and the water temperature may not be as warm in June. Wet suits are allowed but not required. Volunteers from the Hudson Kayak Club will be on duty to ensure a safe and successful swim for all triathletes.
Here is what you can expect on race day: Race start is 8:00 AM sharp at the transition area by the Alpine Marina’s Pavilion comfort station, at the end of the boat dock. Duathletes will start near the parking lot not too far from the transition area and running up the first hill near the entrance.
At the end of the 400 meter swim, Triathletes will head back to the Transition coming off the beach run off. Duathletes will turn around at the .7 miles mark on the Henry Hudson Dr and make their way back to the Transition. Both Triathletes and Duathletes will begin the 10 mile bike portion of the race.
The bike segment is on the Henry Hudson Dr and with your first hill leaving the parking lot. 5 miles out and turning around by the Dyckman Hill Rd, and 5 miles back to the transition. The total elevation gain is over 300ft+. Although there are no long climbs but enough punchy and short hills to force you to pace yourself carefully.
The final segment of the race is a 3 mile run for both Triathletes and Duathletes. You will start from the Transition area and running on the Henry Hudson Dr. Turn around at the 1.5 miles mark and making your way back to the finish by the Transition area, running through the finish flags.
Registration spots are limited to 150 participants. We had over 120 participants last year. Please do register early in case we reach our registration cap much sooner! As of today, 6/10, the race is SOLD OUT.
Alpine Marina Triathlon distance:
Swim distance is 400 meters.
Bike distance is 10 miles.
Run distance is 3 miles.
Alpine Marina Duathlon distance:

Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation please visit www.t2t.org

Everyone starts together...but eventually you have to choose...left or right? We can't decide for you, but that's half the fun as Peace, Love, Trails presents the Fork In The Trail 5k!
The race
starts and finishes at the Fox Lane High School campus in Bedford and takes you into the beautiful Westmoreland Sanctuary where everyone runs the same course, but you decide the direction!
Race starts at 9am, and is a rain or shine event!
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND! DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SANCTUARY!!!
We love seeing and caring for our wildlife friends and we cannot do that effectively if we allow dogs on to the preserve.
Not because we don't like them, but for very real reasons.
Dogs scare away the very animals we work to protect. The dogs’ predator smell will linger for hours, days, and even weeks afterwards– driving away other animals, sometimes permanently.

"The Waz" Junior Road Race Series:
The CCAP and the Connecticut cycling community suffered a tremendous loss in 2020 with the passing of our dear friend and ardent supporter, coach, and volunteer, Matt Waskiewicz. Matt’s wide smile and open arms were a welcome sight to all, especially those new to our sport; not a day goes by without “The Waz” in our thoughts.
Coach Matt’s ability to find the natural athlete and foment drive and ambition in every young rider brought out the best in us all. Our goal is to continue his passion with renewed vigor as we open our 2025 road racing season.
Additional Event Notes:
All USAC Rules Apply. Helmets required. No Tri-Bikes or forward-facing bar ends. No sleeveless Jerseys. ALL riders will need either an annual license or purchase a $15 one-day license via bikereg.
What does "TNC" stand for?
