Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.
Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.
Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.
Makeup Date Information: 5/17/2026
Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.
Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

Enjoy a one loop 3.1 mile race on the infamous Springtime Festival Road Race course! The entire course is on paved roads and has been wheel measured.

On May 16th, we’re coming together as a community to support an important cause. The First Annual Hampton Alzheimer’s 5K aims to bring 250 participants together to raise over $5,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
This event is proudly sponsored by Quiet Corner Winery, and we hope many of our friends, customers, and neighbors will join us to run, walk, and support families affected by Alzheimer’s.

Heart of Eastford's 5K returns 2026!! We are so excited to see everyone race day! Last year we set a new record, and we look forward to smashing the record this year. All proceeds go to a/or individual/individuals in need and the other portion goes to help Eastford Food Pantry. Every year these funds help over 20 families in need. Our Recreation Committee is ready to host 2026's race on June 6th. Registration will open soon and feel free to email with any questions. We Look Foward to Seeing Everyone Race Day!!

This is a family friendly 5K Run/Walk event in honor of Ryan French. Ryan was a resident of Thompson and a student in the Ag-Ed Program at Killingly High School. Ryan was also an avid runner on the KHS Cross Country and Track Teams. The proceeds from this race will be going into the Ryan French Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides Scholarships to well deserving Killingly Ag-Ed Seniors going onto higher education.
The race course uses off-road paths that may have exposed rocks and roots which could be a trip hazard to participants. As part of the registration process each entrant is required to sign a liability waiver accepting the risk of possible injury while participating in the event.
PLEASE NOTE: ENTRY IS VIA ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. Registration shall remain open until 9:15 AM on race day.
