    Please note this year's event is on a SUNDAY!!

    • Held under USA Cycling Permit #15482

    • USA Cycling Race License Required. One-day licenses may be purchased onsite for $15 and are valid for one day of racing for Category 5 (novice) Men and Women (and juniors) and only for use in races open to those categories. Annual Race License available at USACycling.org.

    • Warming Up. It is recommended that riders warm up on trainers or rollers. All roads outside the park are open to traffic and riders assume their own risk when warming up on open roads.

    • Each additional race $15. Juniors use code 2ndJrRace for second race at $15.

    • Early entry fees discounted $5 until May 1

    • $10 surcharge for race day entry

    • Entry Fee includes USA Cycling Insurance Surcharge of $5.99

    • All field sizes limited to 125 riders, with the exception of Cat 5 (Novice) Men, Cat 4/5 (Novice) Women, 60+ Masters and all Junior fields have a field limit of 75 riders.

    • Online registration closes 6/5/26 at NOON. Day of registration on site and on line for all races opens at 8am (6/7/26) and closes 30 minutes prior to start of each race.

    • Nutmeg State Games medals and Podiums awarded to the top 3 finishers overall from any state for each race listed as well as 5 year increments in the M/W 40+ races and the M 60+ race. Riders only eligible to win aged based medals in the race that offers their actual age group.

    • CT USA Cycling State Championship medals and Podiums awarded to CT residents with an annual license only. CT Championship eligibility by race: Junior Boys and Girls (9-12, 13-14, 15-18), Elite Men (CAT 1/2/3), Elite Women (CAT 1/2/3), Men’s Masters 40+ Race: 10 year increments to 59, Men’s Masters 60+ Race: 10 year increments to 70+, Women’s Masters: 10 year increments to 70+.Riders only eligible to win CT Championship in the race that offers their actual age group.

    • Professional riders are welcome to compete but are NOT eligible for State Championship medals

    • Junior races are part of the CCAP Junior Road Race Series

    2026 Connecticut Masters Time Trial and Criterium

    This year’s event is a qualifying event for the National Senior Games.

    No race-day entries for the Time Trial are allowed.

    Day-of registration will be available for the criterium, with an additional $5 day-of fee.

    Number pick-up opens at 8:00 AM. The event is open to competitors from all states.

    Location: Walnut Hill Park, New Britain, CT

    Entry Fees:

    Time Trials: $35.00 for BOTH Time Trials for all age groups. Start times for both TT’s are assigned, but riders can choose to only do the 5K or the 10K. Total TT registration limited to 90 riders.

    For all criterium fields: $10 if combined with TT registration, $35 if entering criterium only. Any additional criterium event is $10

    Connecticut State Games medals are awarded for the first three places outright for each discipline and age group, regardless of residence state.


    5K Time Trial (3 laps)

    First rider starts at 9:00 AM

    other riders follow at 30 second intervals. Rider start order goes from youngest to oldest rider, regardless of gender. Categories are:

    · Women 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+

    · Men 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+

    10K Time Trial (6 laps)

    First rider starts at 10:15 AM

    other riders follow at 30 second intervals. Rider start order goes from youngest to oldest rider, regardless of gender.

    Start times for both time trials will be posted on June 19, 2026 by 10 AM at www.northeastmasters.com


    Combined start for 20K or 40K Criteriums

    Riders should indicate at the start of each race that they will be doing a 20K race, all other riders are racing 40K

    The two races will be run concurrently with the 20K race finishing at the end of the 12th

    lap, the 40K race finishing at the end of the 24th lap.

    20K results will only be recorded for riders doing the 20K.

    Free lap rule applies until five laps to go for the 40K. Repair pit: There will be a pit area for wheels. Wheels must be labeled with rider number.

    All USA Cycling rules apply. US DOT or US CPSC approved helmets required. TT bikes or aero bars are allowed for the Time Trials ONLY. Must have a USAC mass-start legal road bicycle for the criteriums

    USA Cycling Race license required. Annual Race license available online at USA Cycling, or One-day licenses may be purchased during BikeReg registration or onsite for $15 and are valid for a single day of racing. On-site One-day licenses may only be purchased by Novice (Category 5) Men and Women, for use in races open to those categories.
