The Lucky Leprechaun Fun Run celebrates the origins of Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, which is a cultural and religious celebration held on the 17th of March each year. The holiday has evolved into a world wide celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green, so come on out and celebrate this great Irish tradition.

We will have Irish Band “Avourneen”, and Boulder’s “Mc Teggart Irish Dancers” keeping everyone entertained, and Savory Cuisines Catering will have a delicious Irish breakfast burrito for everyone to enjoy post race, along with a choice of Twisted Pine Brewing Company beer:

    • Irish Red Ale

    • Dublin Magic Nitro Stout

    • Green Leprechaun (Mexican Lager)

“Twill” be a fine morning to celebrate, this side of the rainbow, so join your family and friends and dress up in your luckiest gear and join a sea of green running here in Boulder.

To get your FREE T-Shirt, your must register BEFORE WEDNESDAY JANUARY 28.

The Mountain Lions Track running program, provides a fun and encouraging environment for Elementary school aged children (5 - 11 years), to learn the basics of middle distance running over a 6-week period. They will learn good running form, improve both speed and strength, in an environment that is focused on the enjoyment of running. All of our running programs are held twice a week after school, and at a different local City of Boulder or City of Louisville Park, that is convenient to you.

Over the course of the 6-week program, participants will have the opportunity to compete in 2 x FREE track meets. These track meets are designed for the kids to gain confidence in themselves, and their running ability, with the focus on competing with kids that have similar times and abilities.

    RACES:

    TRACK MEET 1 - Sunday, April 12th

This meet will be an "Introductory to Track" clinic, and kids will compete in hurdles, a 400m and relay event. This clinic is designed for kids that have never done track, or lack confidence in track running. This event will NOT be timed, and there is no sign up. For kids that do not need or want to do the “Introductory to Track” clinic, they have the option to compete in either the 800m or 1500m event based on their coaches recommendations. This portion of the event will be timed, and parents will be given a coupon code to sign up their kids for FREE.

    TRACK MEET 2 - Sunday, May 3rd

This meet is our "Frank Shorter Track Classic" event, and kids have the option to compete in either the 800m or 1-mile event based on their coaches recommendations. This event will be timed, and parents will be given a coupon code to sign up their kids for FREE. All participants will receive a medal, honoring a local Boulder Olympian.
