Founders Running Club started in San Francisco in June 2022 when Tim, a startup founder, decided running and entrepreneurial culture should share the same ecosystem. What began as a small group quickly expanded into a thriving community of founders, investors, builders, creators, and curious minds united by the belief that great communities compound over time. Weekly runs launch from the William McKinley Monument, splitting into 5K and 10K groups that trace past Golden Gate Bridge views and through San Francisco's most storied neighborhoods. The crew operates on the same principles that build successful startups, openness and collaboration define the experience. No gatekeeping, no cliques, just people running together and building something meaningful at the intersection of movement and ambition.
Golden Gate Running Club has been gathering runners across San Francisco since 2001, creating a tight-knit community that celebrates fitness and friendship in equal measure. Founded on the belief that running with others, at any pace, is the whole point, the club welcomes everyone from marathon trainers to casual conversational joggers. With around 130 members strong, Golden Gate Running Club anchors its community through two weekly signature runs: Wednesdays at Kezar Stadium for track practice and Sundays starting at the Warming Hut on Crissy Field. From these iconic San Francisco locations to the city's most beautiful streets, the crew runs together, united by enthusiasm and a shared love of their city.
