  The Kids Run the OC is a 10-12 week program in which students accumulate 25+ miles through fun games & activities led by a volunteer coach at their school. The goal of the program is to build a lifelong love of fitness in all students, while building healthy habits and making new friends. The last mile of the training program is run at The Kids Run Final Mile Event during the first weekend in May. The Kids Run The OC Final Mile Event is presented by Hoag Hospital.

  For safety purposes, this event is limited to children from participating schools ONLY. Not sure if your school is involved this year? Check HERE.

  PLEASE NOTE: Participants in this event are limited to children and select coaches. Please do not register for this event as an adult or parent.

  In 2026, Project Youth OC will surpass $1 million raised through our partnership with the OC Marathon.

  Our Road to a Million campaign represents more than a number. It reflects decades of community support, thousands of runners and fundraisers, and countless young lives impacted at critical turning points.

  The OC Marathon offers something for everyone:

  • 5K Walk/Run: Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the OC Fairgrounds.

  • Marathon & Half Marathon: Sunday, May 3, 2026, starting at Fashion Island and finishing at the OC Fairgrounds.

  When you join our team, you’ll help empower youth and strengthen families across Orange County.

  Every dollar raised through peer-to-peer fundraising goes directly toward life-changing mentorship, education, and support services for over 1,500 youth and their families each year.
