    Saddle up for the Cowboy 5K, a Western-themed community race taking place on Saturday, March 7 at the Clovis Old Town Trail in Clovis, California.

    Designed for runners, walkers, families, and first-timers alike, the Cowboy 5K brings together fitness, fun, and a touch of Western spirit in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, enjoying a relaxed walk, or simply looking for a great way to start your Saturday morning, this event is for you.

    Participants can choose between a timed 5K run or a 2-mile walk/run, making the event accessible to all fitness levels and ages. The course follows the Clovis Old Town Trail, offering a scenic, flat, and well-marked route through one of Clovis’s most recognizable areas. Volunteers and course support will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

    Western attire is encouraged (but never required). Bandanas, hats, and a little cowboy flair are welcome—just be sure to pair them with comfortable running shoes.

    All registered participants will receive a custom event t-shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Awards will be given to top finishers in the 5K, along with fun recognition for best Western-themed attire.

    Join us for our annual 5k / 2 mile race to support the pets at Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center! Choose our competitive chip-timed 5k race for our racers who want a little bit of friendly competition, choose our non-competitive 2 mile walk great for your pets, kids, and friends, or register for our Virtual 5k where you can do your race anywhere and still get the benefits of our shirt and finisher medal! All festivities will take place on the Clovis Trail starting at the 120 N. Clovis parking lot and the race will primarily be on paved asphalt. Dogs are permitted provided they are on a leash or strapped into a stroller or backpack.
