The Peoria Unified School District 5K Fun Run will be held on Saturday, March 7 at Liberty High School. Our goal is to raise awareness and encourage district employees and their families to live a healthy, active lifestyle.
You must register by February 20 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. You must be at the event to receive your t-shirt
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Runners/walkers will not be allowed to start more than 5 minutes past the start time for safety and contractual reasons, so please be on time as we want you to participate!
Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race.

9:00 AM: Welcome Announcement
9:15 AM: Stretch
9:20 AM: 5k Begins
10:20 AM: Award Ceremony will begin after winners from each category have completed the race - approximately 10:20 a.m.

Half Marathon - 10K - 5K -
Cottontail Dash event
as we continue an Easter tradition at the
Peoria Sports Complex!
The Cottontail Dash is an untimed half mile fun run with an egg hunt along the route. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a shirt.
You are welcome to bring your own bag/basket or one will be provided for you. Eggs are handed out by volunteers so that everyone will come away with equal amount of eggs.
Parents who only want to accompany their children on the course do not need to register.
This event is limited to 1500 participants.

It's our 8th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K! And we have something new and exciting!!
We will be introducing a running chair that will allow disabled individuals to participate in these events. Check out the First Responder PTS Foundation website for more information. Help us in our efforts to overcome PTSD by supporting and participating in this event. Show your support by honoring those that have lost the battle to PTSD, those who are currently battling and those who have survived the battle. Through PERSEVERANCE, TENACITY, SUPPORT and DETERMINATION we can overcome PTSD. Proceeds from this event will go to the First Responder PTS Foundation (501c3) to provide ancillary services to mental health treatment and education for first responders related to PTSD, stress and trauma.
We will be giving out awards to the top male and female finisher in the following age categories
0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Race Location will be at Copper Hills Church at 27035 N Black Rock Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85383

distances and will take place at Rio Vista Park to benefit AZK9 Rescue.

Can't make it to this year's event but still want to participate? We are excited to announce our Running For the Bulls Virtual Race. A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. All virtual race participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and custom event shirt. All you have to do is register above and we will mail you your gear after the event! Please note your shirt and medal will be mailed after the completion of the event on October 4, 2026. Prior to the event all virtual participants will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your time.

Race Day Information
Race Day packet pickup will be available beginning at 6:00am at Rio Vista Park (map)
We accept cash, and credit cards on race day
Cost of registration on race day will be:
10K - $50
5K - $40
1 Mile - $30
We welcome wheelchairs, strollers, wagons and leashed pets!
No roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
The course will take you through the multi use trails (all asphalt and concrete) of the New River Trail System, starting and ending at Rio Vista Park in Peoria - meaning no need for transportation before or after the race just to get back to your car! Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.
This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds due to weather.
