The Tucson Tri Girls are putting together a FREE swim and and race clinic for anyone (male or female) on February 15 at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center. If you are not a USAT member already, a 1-day USAT license is required. Swim Coach Peter Russo will lead the swim portion of the clinic, and Coach Bob Jones will lead the transition clinic. At the end of the clinic we will offer the ability to ride one loop of the OVTD bike course and one loop of the run course. This clinic is designed for beginners to triathlon as well as experience triathletes who would like to practice at the venue of the upcoming Oro Valley Triathlon and Duathlon Festival.
You can attend all or just the portions you'd like to learn about, as long as you are a registered attendee. No one who is not a registered attendee will be permitted to attend any portion of the clinics or the rides/runs.

1:00 pm. to 2:30 p.m. ~ Swim Instruction with Coach Russo
3:00 p.m. ~ Transition Clinic with Coach Jones
3:45 p.m. ~ Ride/Run Laps will start from the EAST parking lot of the Aquatic Center (where the OV Tri/Du transition will be).

Welcome to the Oro Valley Triathlon and Duathlon Festival, an On Your Left Fitness event presented by the Town of Oro Valley~Explore Oro Valley.

The Swim
The swim takes place at the BEAUTIFUL Oro Valley Aquatics Center at the base of the Catalina Mountains. The pool will be set to long course and you will serpentine swim.
The Bike
The entire bike course is coned off from traffic and includes one dedicated car lane and bike lane for participants. Be prepared for some fast downhills and a couple short uphills.
The Run
The run is flat and fast (Duathlon participants will do one loop before the bike and two loops after the bike)
PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer refunds for any reason. However, you can defer your entry up to one year. (For example: if you purchase an entry for 2026, you can defer that entry to 2027.) It is a sliding scale deferral. Please review our Refund/Deferral/Transfer Policy BEFORE you register.

March 9 Update: Registration for the 2027 edition is open. The tentative date will be March 7, 2027 -- but please note that this date has not yet been confirmed with the Town of Oro Valley. We may need to move the event to March 14, 2027. Details coming shortly.
March 8 Race Day Update: On behalf of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and all of the event sponsors and partners, thank you so much for being part of this 2026 edition of the TMC Arizona Distance Classic. We hope you had as enjoyable a time as we did! Special thanks to all of you, the Oro Valley Police Department, the Town of Oro Valley, and the 80+ volunteers who helped make this event happen!
