After a massively successful inaugural Lizard Peak Scramble, many of you were asking us "When's the next race?" To be honest we didn't want to wait a year. So, here it is! Add Havasu on the Rocks to your March calendar and find the race that's right for you.
Havasu on the Rocks is hitting the ground at sunrise on March 28th of 2026 with a trail Half, 13k and 7k. Flowing single-track, desert landscape, rugged views, blue green waters of the Colorado River, a towering Lighthouse and an aid station on the beach! What's not to love?
The Half and 13k will take you across some amazing single and two track trails as we lead you on a trail run adventure to a lighthouse at Pilot Rock cove. Perched on top of Pilot Rock is a stunning white lighthouse on the shores of Lake Havasu. This working lighthouse guides boaters along Lake Havasu and will be your destination on the Pilot Rock Punisher Half or Pursuit 13k race.
Don't feel up to doing a 13k? No worries we got ya covered with a 7k Fun Run/Hike and of course a Kids 1k. Due to the distance of Pilot Rock, the 7k event DOES NOT make its way out to the Lighthouse. It will however take you across some great single-track trails in the SARA Park area. A perfect run or hike route.

ABSOLUTELY EPIC! No other way to describe our inaugural event. As a result, we are setting the stage for the 2nd Annual Lizard Peak Scramble in Lake Havasu City, AZ to be bigger, better and rowdier. Needless to say, we were stoked at your response. We had participants from the four corners of AZ, across the Southwest and as far away as Washington, Texas, Montana and Minnesota. Many racers brought the heat. From our 10k to our 5k fun run loop we had people leave it all on the trail.
We had a total of 263 registered participants across all events in 2025 including the Kids Dirt Dash which was an absolute homerun. For 2026 we are preparing for a significant increase in racers, casual runners and hikers.
If you came last year, you know what a great time it was. So, grab your family, friends and coworkers and mark your calendar for our January 1st Registration opening and 2026 event. It's going to be a party!
