The CALL in Pulaski County is ready to IGNITE HOPE within the community to bring awareness to the foster care crisis. This race will be a fundraising event for The CALL as we continue to recruit, train and support foster and adopt families. There are over 400 children and teens in foster care just in Pulaski County alone, and less than 150 homes open to care for them. The CALL is working to fill in those gaps to make sure no child is without a safe place to rest their head at night.

Please make plans to join us for an amazing morning at Two Rivers Park in Little Rock, Arkansas where we will have a fun run, 5K and 10K race!

******** Please note, bibs and chips are only available on race day at the race site beginning at 12:00 PM. Also - for those who registered by the T-shirt deadline of 04/10/2026 - you can pick up your T-shirt and swag bag at early packet pick-up or the day of the race. Registrants who registered after that date will have T-shirts available on a 1st come 1st served basis at early packet pickup or the day of the race.

What to expect:
- Prior to the race:
- Paperless registration
- Dynamic bib assignment - If you've pre-registered, or after you've registered onsite, simply proceed straight to the "Check In" area to receive your bib.
- During the race:
- Chip Start/Finish
- Instant SMS results - You will receive a text of your preliminary results as soon as you finish.
- Automatic photo capture of your finish - photos uploaded to RunSignUp and are free to view/download.
- Please wear your bib clearly on the front outermost layer of clothes. This way the photo should automatically get mapped to you when I upload them.
- Finish line video - You'll see a "video" link under your time on RunSignUp after the video is uploaded (later that evening).
- After you finish:
- Results Kiosk - Scan your tags, or use the touch screen monitor to enter your bib #, and receive a sticker that shows your results. These are great to place on the back of your bib and/or award so that you'll always know how you did at the race.
- Live Scrolling Results - In the Results Kiosk tent there will be a TV showing live scrolling results.
- Quick Results TV - Near the results kiosk there will be a TV that you can stand next to and it will automatically display your results. Someone will be there taking photos or we can use your phone to take a photo. Any photos we take using our camera will be uploaded to RunSignUp.
Important to know:
- All of the "instant/quick results" listed above are "preliminary" results. Please let the finish line crew know immediately if anything does not look correct. Official results are what the timer prints and hand to the race director after enough people have come in to claim all of the awards.
We are using reusable Shoe/Hip tags. Not only do we believe they perform better, but they also keep the cost down for everyone and the tags don't end up in the landfill.
- When you receive your bib there will be 2 plastic-looking timing tags hanging off of it. One tag should be placed on each side of your body - either by sliding a tag down the outside shoelace on each shoe, or by using a safety pin and pinning a tag on each side of your shorts.
- After you finish, feel free to go cooldown or relax, but prior to leaving the event we ask that you carefully detach the tags and return them in the green Results Kiosk dome tent. We will recycle your safety pins if you want to drop them in there too. Keep your bib as a souvenir of course.
NOTE: Children 6 and under are free, but they will not receive a swag bag, t-shirt or race bib. Ages 7-17 can qualify for a discounted price that includes all the perks of a regular registration.

NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

The Scorchin’ Squirrel is a trail race through Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center’s 1200 acres located just 10 miles west of Little Rock. There are 4 distance options: a 10kish (1 loop), 11.5 mile (2 loops), 15.5 mile (3 loops) or 19.5 mile (4 loops). All distances are approximate. Each loop passes through 1 full aid station and one water drop. There will be refreshments at the end with a cook out at the pool. Please bring stuff to share although Fleet Feet Little Rock and Ferncliff will provide burgers and hot dogs. We will begin serving food at 10 AM. No glass containers please. No pets.

This is a great race for heat training and for trying out trail running with the shorter distances. There is quite a bit of incline (heheh) throughout the course and a few water crossings in wet weather.

All the distances end back at the start of the race, which is at the Ferncliff pool pavilion. The pool will be open after the race. It has a large covered pavilion and runners can cool off and enjoy some food and refreshments. There are lots of changing stalls.

Any proceeds from the event will support Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center. If you’d like to reserve lodging the evening before the event call 501-821-3063 to reserve a room or cabin.
