Join us on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Kilby Laboratory School in Florence, Alabama, for the 3rd Annual Kilby Cub Dash 5K & 1‑Mile Fun Run—a high‑energy, family‑friendly community race with a purpose. Whether you’re a competitive runner, a casual jogger, or a family looking for a healthy weekend activity, this event is the perfect way to get moving and make an impact.

The day kicks off at 8:00 AM with our certified 5K course, professionally mapped and timed by Race Ready Events, followed by a 1‑Mile Fun Run at 9:00 AM for runners and walkers of all ages. We’ll celebrate together at 9:30 AM with post‑race awards, refreshments, and community fun at the Kilby campus.

But this race is about more than miles — it’s about building a brighter future for Kilby students. All proceeds from the event support the Kilby Laboratory School PTO’s initiative to build a new, modern playground that inspires active play, imagination, and inclusion. Our goal is to raise $150,000, and thanks to dedicated families and supporters, we’ve already raised $25,000. Your race registration or donation helps us take the next big stride.

Description:

A cool summer cross country camp at beautiful McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama, for all aspiring middle and high school cross country athletes! Whether a beginner or seasoned vet in the sport, you will be able to experience meaningful training and coaching from the University of Tennessee Southern coaching staff.

All Fall 2026 7th - 12th graders are welcome to register. There will be appropriate training groups for everyone!
