The Atlantic Ultra Marathon Melides–Troia is an endurance event held on Portugal’s southwest coast, where participants run entirely on sand from Melides to Troia. The route passes through beaches such as Aberta Nova, Gale, Pinheiro da Cruz, Pego, Carvalhal, and Comporta, ending at Beco das Lulas beach in Troia. Spectators often cheer runners along the coastline.
