    All athletes, institutions, athletic and sports clubs, as well as the general public, both Mexican and foreign, are invited to participate in the 37th International Zapopan Half Marathon 2026.

    RULES

    Meeting point: Av. Hidalgo #151, Zapopan Centro, Zapopan, Jalisco

    (In front of the Zapopan Municipal Hall)

    Date: Sunday, May 17, 2026

    Start and Finish Point: Av. Hidalgo #151.

    Race: Half Marathon (21.0975 km).

    Registration: From the publication of this call for applications until Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

    Venues, dates, and times.

    Zapopan Sports City Aquatics Center: In the registration area (ground floor), located at Circuito Panamericano s/n, at the intersection with Calle Santa María, Colonia Tepeyac, Zapopan, Jalisco;

    Days: Monday to Friday

    Hours: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM until Thursday, May 14.

    Zapopan Sports City Multipurpose Gymnasium: located on Dr. Luis Farah Street. Next to the Acuacentro;

    Days: Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026, during the “Expo Medio Maratón Internacional Zapopan 2025” celebration;

    Hours: Friday, May 15, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, and Saturday, May 16, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

    There will be a maximum capacity of 8,000 (eight thousand) participants;

    There will be no registration or packet pickup on the day of the event;

    The Organizing Committee is not responsible for registrations made on unofficial websites (other than those specified in this call for entries).

    Accreditations exclusively for Ranked Athletes: To the email address [email protected], in accordance with section 7.10 of this call for entries.

    Package Delivery: Location to be confirmed.

    Branches and Categories: The minimum age required for all categories is 18 years. The age that the participant must register will be their age on the day of the event. You must register in ONLY ONE of the categories described below:

    13.1. Female: Female: Categories by age range.

    Zapopanos—both branches. Exclusively for citizens born and registered in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, in both branches, upon presentation of an official photo ID issued by the competent authority, along with the documents required in section 21.3. of this call for applications;

    Public Servants of Zapopan – Both Branches: To be eligible to register, the following is mandatory:

    Doping tests: The Organizing Committee will conduct anti-doping tests on the overall winners in both categories; therefore, this category will remain on hold for the prize check until the results are received.

    Safety Time Limit: The time limit will be THREE HOURS from the starting gun, meaning it will end at 9:40 a.m. on the day of the event: After this period, athletes who wish to continue will do so at their own responsibility and risk.

    Regulations: It shall be the one currently in force as established by World Athletics (the global governing body for athletics).

    Judges: They will be appointed by the Organizing Committee and endorsed by the Mexican Federation of Athletics Associations A.C.

    Appeals Jury: It shall consist of a minimum of three (3) members. Its composition and function shall be established in the current World Athletics Competition Regulations. It will be the responsibility of the Organizing Committee to coordinate its formation prior to the competition.

    Timing: For the individual recording of competition times, disposable electronic chips will be used, which will support the results validation process in accordance with the provisions of section 12 of this call for entries.

    Transitory provisions: Cases not covered by this call for applications shall be resolved by the Organizing Committee.
