In October 2018, a handful of running enthusiasts in Podgorica decided to stop running alone. Road Runners Montenegro launched with a simple mission: build a community where every kilometer counts, whether you're chasing a first 5K or hunting a personal record. Today, around 40 athletes, runners, swimmers, and cyclists, train together across three weekly sessions that anchor the city's running culture. Founder-led sessions happen Tuesday nights (tempo work), Thursday evenings (Gorica runs through Podgorica landmarks), and Sunday mornings from FSCG grounds (long runs). What began as a grassroots effort has become Montenegro's strongest running community, one where pace drops secondary to showing up, supporting each other, and celebrating the work.
