Kujukuri Triathlon or the 99T for short, is one of Japan’s largest triathlons and known to be the “perfect triathlon for beginners” (and those seeking PBs!). With a protected estuary swim and a straight shot on the toll roads used for both the bike and run route, it’s a flat and fast course!
The Kujukuri Triathlon is located in Ichinomiya (Chiba Prefecture) and is easily accessible from Tokyo (just 90 minutes by car). Known as Japan’s second longest beach, the area is known for its year round water activities, such as surfing and jet skiing. Ichinomiya was also the site of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics surfing competition.
