JakBrunners started in May 2014 when the founders connected online and found out they lived near each other in West Jakarta. What began as a local running group quickly expanded beyond the district, welcoming members from across Jakarta who share a passion for running and community. JakBrunners focuses on enjoyment, mutual support, and inclusivity, encouraging runners of all levels to join their regular group runs through West Jakarta’s lively urban streets and green spaces. JakBrunners remains an inviting space for anyone seeking camaraderie and positivity through the simple act of running together.

MAEM running club is a vibrant and social running community that has been uniting runners in Jakarta, Indonesia, since 2015. Their identity is perfectly captured by their unique philosophy: "RUN – EAT – JOY." The crew's name, "Maem," is a local term for "to eat," reflecting their foundational belief in the joy of sharing culinary delights after a run. They host runs every Thursday and Sunday, welcoming runners of all levels to share experiences, knowledge, and, most importantly, a post-run "Re-Fuel" meal.

The crew’s philosophy centers on improving not just athletic ability but also building lasting connections and mutual encouragement. As part of Jakarta’s growing running culture, Manifest members often join local races and events, strengthening ties within the broader community. Running Rage is one of the original and most influential running crews in Jakarta, Indonesia, a community that has been at the forefront of the movement since 2011. They are defined by their holistic philosophy of "Running - Lifestyle - The Great Outdoors." As pioneers in the Southeast Asian running scene, they were co-hosts of the legendary 2016 Bridge The Gap Bali event. They continue to innovate through creative collaborations, such as their recent "Courage is Contagious" campaign, all while fostering a fun and supportive community for runners.

Running with Rhyme and Peace (RWRP) emerged in Jakarta in August 2023 as a close-knit group of friends seeking joyful, mindful movement amid the city's bustling pace. By early 2024, the crew opened to the public, welcoming runners of all levels to join easy-to-moderate runs ranging from 5Ks to half marathons. With about 30 members, RWRP nurtures a warm, inclusive community that meets on weekday evenings and weekend mornings, gathering at Kopi Api Coffee Roasters in Cikini to blend running with meaningful social connection. Their routes wind through Jakarta’s vibrant neighborhoods, parks, and riversides, offering a unique lens on the city’s dynamic contrasts—from modern high-rises to traditional markets. While the crew focuses on shared experience rather than competition, many members also participate in major city events like the Jakarta Marathon. Rooted in a spirit of rhythm and peace, RWRP celebrates running as a joyful, communal journey through the heart of Jakarta.
