The 2026 XTERRA Alxa Trail Run, themed on a "Panoramic Desert Ecosystem Experience," features 50K, 30K, and 15K categories. The course traverses woodlands, riverbanks, grasslands, Gobi gravel plains, and into the Tengger Desert, allowing runners to physically experience the ecological transition from oasis to desert and break the stereotype of deserts as monotonous and barren.
