In an effort to reduce waste, please bring your own reusable cup if you have one. Please keep in mind until we reach a sponsorship with a nutrition company everything will be pre packaged and store bought. If you want gels please bring your own.
Three portable washrooms will be located at the start/finish line.
Drop Bags
6 Hour runners are allowed one drop bag.
There is limited space for tents for runners but they will be first come first serve. Not for overnight use.
Pacers
There will be pacer spots available for the final hour of the 6 Hour.
Prizes and Swag
Every 5K finisher will receive a Sole Burner Medal.
Every registration will receive a Sarnia Sole Burner technical t-shirt.
6 Hour Finishers will also receive a mesh style trucker hat. Aid station visits can not last longer than five minutes or you are DNF. If you are walking, or crawling... that is okay.
The 3 and 6 Hour Race will have PRIZE MONEY if the race sells out. That’s correct, we are giving out cold hard cash. So sign up today! These races will only have one "winner" from each gender. This will be the individual who does the most loops in the time period before cut off. We are offering 100$ for the 3 hour and 250$ for the 6 hour winners, as well as free entry into the 2027 event.
All swag created for this event will be made locally in an effort to stimulate the local economy. Pictured below is the stuff from 2024.
But everyone knows the real prize is finishing the event, supporting a great cause and getting to see some of those race photos which will be available for free after the race day.
Parking
Please note that there is very limited parking at Wawanosh Wetlands (6013 Blackwell Sideroad) and much of the parking lot on the Suncor side will be taken up by the tents for the event. Please carpool and try to find parking at St Pats (1001 The Rapids Pkwy) or St Anne (1000 The Rapids Pkwy) before walking to the start line. If you plan on picking up your race packet on race morning please give yourself ample time to do so.
Refunds
There are no refunds/bib transfers for this event. This event will happen rain or shine. If you aren't registered by May 28th we cannot guarantee a specific t-shirt size for you.
While there is no qualifications requirement for this event, runners are expected to have adequate experience for the race. We recommend that you have at least ran a standard marathon for the 6 hour.
Sole Burner Endurance reserves the right to refuse entry.

BackRoads Brews + Shoes Track Fest
runners, take your mark!
Experience our 3rd annual track festival, with race distances for all ages!
Get ready for our 3rd annual summer track festival - presented by New Balance! On the evening of Friday, July 10th, we're replacing the roads with the track over at College Avenue Secondary School in Woodstock!
With several distance options and exciting disciplines, there’s an event for all ages, paces, and members of the running community! And don’t worry - your little ones won’t miss out! We’ve got 3 races for them too!
We strongly believe that giving kids the opportunity to participate in sport will lead them on to a healthy lifestyle, fulfilment in school, and a strong sense of work ethic and belonging. Our kids races range from 100M, 400M (1 lap), and 1KM (2.5 laps). Kids MUST be registered by a parent or guardian. A FANTASTIC way to get your children excited, and involved in an approachable sport!
This year, we're capping off the evening with an Elimination Mile and a team 4 x 400m relay!
What is an Elimination Mile? A mile is 4 laps around the track and the last runner on each lap will be eliminated from the race. Whoever is remaining on the last lap will race for a New Balance Prize Pack!
Summer Track Fest is a grassroots & unsanctioned event, with the goal of bringing our running community together as the sun goes down. Use this event as a time trial on a soft surfaced track, where pancake flat running, fast times, and cheering on your friends, children, and community is a guarantee!
Your entry fee will go towards our efforts in booking out the venue, with further proceeds going towards youth programs put on by London Western Track and Field Club. The Kids 100m and 400m events are FREE!
There will be complimentary water and electrolytes for everyone, along with treats for participants!

Before registering, please keep in mind the following information:
Age requirements: Participants must be 16 years old as of December 31, 2026 to run the race. The wave and age category you are in on race day is also based on your age as of December 31, 2026. This means for those born after July 18, 2026, you may be racing in a category that does not match your current age, but would be your age come December 31.
Deferred an entry from last year? You will receive a code which will cover your registration fee for 2026. This code does not cover fees for Triathlon Ontario, Race Roster or if you choose to get a race shirt this year. Only those athletes who had a confirmation by the race director in 2025 will receive a code for a deferred entry. If you did not show up on race day, and did not confirm with the race director you wanted to defer, you are not eligible for a free entry.
One-day Triathlon Ontario fee requirement. You will be charged for a one-day membership fee for Triathlon Ontario.
If you email [email protected] with proof of your 2026 Triathlon Ontario membership before your register, you will receive a promo code to remove the fee. If you send this information after registering (but before the race), this fee will be refunded.
Race t-shirts are available for a fee: If you want a race shirt, you will need to pay an additional $15 fee and choose your size. In order to ensure your shirt size, you must do this by April 30, 2026. Sizing may be limited after this date as we need to order shirts well in advance of the race.
Can't race anymore? While we understand that circumstances can change, we are unable to offer refunds or deferrals for your race entry. We begin planning for the race early, and costs for the race include all registrants. You are able to transfer your registration to a new participant for a fee and can initiate this transfer in your Race Roster account.
For more frequently asked questions, please visit our website.
Non-profit race: All race organizers are volunteers. We are working hard to bring you a great, safe race. Please recognize that and be patient. We will be providing information as soon as we have details confirmed.
This is our fourth year in Saugeen Shores, and we are looking to make it bigger and better than ever. Last year, thanks to our racers and sponsors we donated more than $10,000 back to local community organizations. This year we are asking for your help to make that even bigger. Participants are able to donate directly to the organizations we support as part of their registration or can choose to fundraise for more donations while they train. The organizations we support are:
Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey: As a women's only race, we feel a strong responsibility to give back to organizations that serve and support women.
Kabaeshiwim Respite Women's Shelter: Recognizing our race is run in the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, we know it is important to show our support to Saugeen's women as well.
