OPIC’s Pork for a Cause Hog Jog is a 3.5km run/walk and 10km run held each year during the Ontario Pork Congress. The Hog Jog originally began in 2005.
The 2026 Hog Jog is proud to support The Emily Murphy Centre, a Stratford based organization dedicated to supporting women and children who have experienced violence. The Emily Murphy Centre provides safe housing, counselling, advocacy, and outreach programs designed to meet the unique needs of women and children in crisis or after a crisis.
Demand for violence-against-women services continues to grow, practically in rural communities where access to supports can be limited. Increased awareness and community involvement play a critical role in ensuring survivors know where to turn for help. By partnering with The Emily Murphy Centre, the Hog Jog aims to shine a light on these essential services while helping to strengthen support for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Funds raised through the 2026 Hog Jog will directly support the installation of five donated tiny homes, a transformative project that will expand the Emily Murphy Centre’s housing capacity for families fleeing unsafe and life-threatening situations. Hog Jog proceeds will help cover essential infrastructure costs such as utility connections, enabling these tiny homes to become safe, fully functioning living spaces. This expansion will allow the Centre to provide refuge to more families while continuing to offer holistic supports including counselling, advocacy, and connections to community resources.
The Hog Jog planning committee is honoured to champion this important initiative and excited to bring the community together for a fun, meaningful event that creates lasting impact. Together, Hog Jog and The Emily Murphy Centre are working toward a safer, more supportive future – one step at a time!
The 19th annual charity run/walk and pork dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, June 17th, 2025 at the Stratford Rotary Complex (353 McCarthy Road Stratford). This is a family fun event for runners of all ages.

THIS EVENT IS NOW COMPLETELY FULL! PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR OTHER EVENTS AT : www.happytrailsracing.com We are proud to announce that this event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. --- We are thrilled to
announce that we are partnering with La Sportiva for our events this year. Not only will La Sportiva be at our races with their demo fleet of shoes to try but they will also be giving away 2 pairs of shoes at every event! --- We are also now working with a new, LOCAL, nutrition company called THN Labs. They are generously providing each runner with gels in their race kit as well as gels available at our aid stations. The gels contain only 4 ingredients: maple syrup, tahini, sea salt, and rowanberry extract. For more information on the product, click on their logo below: . --- The Summer Solstice represents the longest day of the year with 15hrs, 23minutes, 31 seconds of sun. That's certainly a long time for the sun to be gloriously sending light our way. Do you think that you can shine for that
long as well? How far do you think that you can run in 15:23? --- Race Details: The race will be run on an approximately 3.7 km trail loop. There are a couple of short rolling hills (that will feel as though they are growing with each loop). The course will be a mixture of tree covered trails and open field so bring your sunscreen! The exact course length won't be available until the race because we are going to design the course to be the best we possibly can, which means we are going to use the trails that are in the best condition and offer the most scenic options for race day. Last year, we were able to utilize a 3.7 km section of trail that was beautiful. Our intentions are to mostly use the same section of trail but that will depend on the weather leading up to the race, since sections of the route are prone to becoming soggy if there is a lot of rain. Don't feel like racing for the entire solstice? No problem, you can do it as a relay, which is SO MUCH FUN! Full Solstice: 15:23
(Starts at 5:39am - Ends at 9:03pm) Full Solstice Relay: 15:23 (Starts at 5:39am - Ends at 9:03pm)- For the Relay Race, teams can have up to 5 runners total per team. They can switch runners as frequently as they wish but each runner must run the full loop and all transitions must occur in the designated "relay transition area". If someone on your team needs to leave early you can NOT replace them with someone new. Each member of the team will receive a shirt and a finishing medal. Only the top team in each category (All Men, All Women, and Mixed Relay) will receive an award. It is entirely possible for a speedy team to collectively reach 100 miles or more in the time provided. Only the team captain needs to register, we will contact you closer to race day to get all of your deets! This event is an absolute blast- last year each team set up a tent, table, and chairs and had so much fun hanging out and cheering on their teammates. Yeah, we know, this is a weird race time but it is based on
the sun. Besides, why not do something a little different? Regardless of how far you get, it is likely to be a personal best for you since you probably haven't raced for this exact length of time before! The vibe at the finish of the race is magical with an outpouring of support from all of the runners just as the sun is setting. --- Are you a collector of race medals? All of the Happy Trail Racing events include a cool finisher's medal. Participants will also get a soft-spun t-shirt and some other race goodies. Check out the 2023 MEGA medal below: Runners will have the option to choose either a Unisex Shirt or a Women's Cut Shirt during the registration process. The title "Women's Cut" is the actual name of the cut. Any person is welcome to choose whichever option they wish. Please note, the women's cut shirts do tend to fit a bit small so you may want to size up. These shirts are from a previous year and the design changes each year. --- Race Site: The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run will take
place at the AMAZING Marydale Park in Mount Hope, ON. The facility itself is beautiful and offers very close parking, scenic grounds, excellent washroom facilities, and an enormous pavilion to shelter spectators from the sun. We are very fortunate and excited to have the opportunity to host a race here and even more excited to have the Marydale Park "One-to-One" camp program, which offers unbelievable opportunities for children with special needs, as our primary charity. Please consider making a donation or raising funds for this great cause. The impact we can make is substantial and close to home. --- Aid Stations: There will be one aid station with lots of goodies to keep you energized and you will pass it every few kilometers. This is a very spectator friendly event as the runners can be viewed each loop. The location is absolutely ideal for an event like this as it offers amazing facilities, which both runners and spectators will appreciate. Stock up in between loops. There will be
water, an electrolyte drink, and all of your typical ultra running fare including sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles and more. Please note that all Happy Trails Racing events are cup-less so you will need to have a collapsible cup or bottle to fill at the aid stations. --- Charity: The charity that will benefit from this race is the C.Y.O. "One-to-One" camp program, which is an incredible cause. The money raised will go towards sending children with disabilities to Marydale Park, where they will get to experience an incredible week at camp with 1:1 support. The camp is fully accessible and offers campers an experience that they will forever cherish. --- Post Race Food: We understand that people have different dietary restrictions, needs, and preferences. Because of this, rather than include the cost of a post-race meal that you may or may not enjoy/ be able to eat, we do not include meals in our race registration fees. --- Refund Policy: Happy Trails Racing has a great
policy regarding race refunds/transfers: register with confidence knowing that you can take advantage of our early bird pricing and, if you need to back out, you can do so up to 30 days before the race with a 100% race credit that can go towards any future Happy Trails event. It doesn't expire. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate cancellations within 30 days of the race. However, participants are welcome to transfer their bib to someone else without any penalty. Please keep in mind that everything we need to order to have you at our race is done so at least 30 days out. Also, please note that we don't have waitlists. If spots open up they will be available on Race Roster so check back occasionally. --- Race Reports: --- All photos below care of Sue Sitki Photography.

Run a 2.25 mile (Approx) grass, mud, and gravel path around an abandoned golf course (the Gospel Hill Golf Club course owned by Penn State Behrend). Time? From Sunrise to Sunset on the longest
Saturday of the year!
Half of every registration will be donated to the Behrend Cross Country program.
This is a self-supported ultra run, very similar to the ERC Personal Endurance Classic.
Course is a 2.25 mile loop. Expect some mud, a little side-hill, plenty of grass, a couple of hills (one of which you WILL walk down). Shade, open fields, wildflowers, and wildlife.
Do as many laps as you want.
And, since I don't have the MapMyRun section, here's a map:
Map of course.

The Farthest
What would it be like to run a race where the goal is to run away from a location, rather than to a finish line?
What would it be like to run a race where the runners decide their own
course?
Who will go the farthest?
The Persistence Racing Run Club presents:
The Farthest
How it Works
All runners will start at the same location, at the same time, somewhere within London, Ontario, Canada (this is not a virtual race).
From the common start point, each runner will have 8 hours (4 hours for those doing the half-farthest, and 2 hours for those doing the quarter-farthest) to get as far away from the starting point as possible. The course each runner chooses is entirely up to them.
The runner who gets the farthest away from the start line “as the crow flies” is the winner. It is possible that a runner may run the longest distance, but not be the farthest away from the starting point “as the crow flies.” Yes, this is a test of endurance, but it's also a test of intelligence and strategy.
The Rules
Don’t be dumb. Safety comes first. If sidewalks are available, use them. Obey all traffic signals. Runners found to be in violation of any safety rules/laws etc., will be eliminated from the race.
Each runner will start at a common starting location, at the same time, within London, Ontario. This is not a virtual race. The race will start at 7:00 a.m. on June 20th.
You will choose your own route.
You MAY not run on major highways, this would be in violation of the law. It would also violate rule #1.
Runners will receive the exact starting location two weeks prior to the event. This will give them time to plan their route. Please note that the race location on this race website is simply a placeholder. The race will not start at the listed location.
The winner is the runner who can get the farthest from the starting point “as the crow flies” within the event limit.
Runners do not have to use the entire event time. For example, a runner could stop six hours into the 8 hour event if they feel they have reached their farthest possible point.
There will be a mandatory pre-race meeting on race morning.
Runners will need to enable live tracking via Google Maps. More instructions will be given prior to the race. This will require you to carry a phone with you during the event.
Runners must text their current location to the race director every 2 hours. Text number will be provided prior to the race.
You will be provided with a race bib which you must wear during the race.
Runners may have support crews. Pacers are allowed.
Support crews may provide aid when a runner is not moving.
Runners must always travel under their own power. For example, you may not have your crew drive you to a bathroom, restaurant, etc. You may sit in a vehicle to rest, enjoy air conditioning, change clothes, etc., but if the vehicle moves with you in it, you are out of the race.
Runners are responsible for their own hydration and food needs. The race is in June, it will likely be hot. Plan accordingly to ensure proper clothing, hydration, and nutrition. Don't forget rule number 1.
Each runner must have an emergency and end of run pick up person. This person’s contact information must be submitted to the race director prior to the race. The race organizers will provide no transportation.
At the conclusion of your run, or at the time limit, runners must submit their last known intersection. Distance to this location “as the crow flies” will be calculated by the race director using onthegomap or another suitable online tracking system.
Runners may be asked to provide data to support their distance covered.
Runners must inform the race director when they have been picked up by their pick up person. Failure to do so will result in a DNF result and disqualification from the event.
Did we mention, don’t be dumb?
Entry Process
You may apply for entry into The Farthest. Race organizers may also invite select participants to apply. Any runners who have run 15 loops or more at the Persistence Backyard Ultra will automatically be accepted.
Register below for The Farthest Application. This is free.
As part of the application registration you will be prompted to explain why you would like to run The Farthest. Creative answers are encouraged.
If your application is successful, you will be given an access code to complete your entry and pay your entrance fee through Race Roster.
The minimum age for this event is 18. No exceptions.
The Farthest will be capped at 30 total runners.
Each runner must also submit a gift to the race director on race morning. You will receive further gift instructions prior to the race (value of the gift will be approximately $5). The runner who is judged to have provided the best gift, will receive a free race entry to a Persistence Racing event of their choice in 2026.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Children's Health Foundation. Thank you for helping children and their families in our community.
Please note that this event requires some independence and the ability to follow instructions. If for example, you email us to ask how to register, it means you likely are not independent enough for the event (hint: scroll up and read how to register)
Swag
Runners will receive a souvenir The Farthest drinking glass in order to be able to rehydrate after the event with a beverage of their choice. In order to celebrate the fact that runners have bet on themselves being able to complete the event (we like your confidence!), they will also be given a souvenir The Farthest poker chip. Swag items will be provided with your race bib prior to the event.
The overall winner of each sub-event will receive a custom award to mark their awesomeness. We will get this to you at some point...most likely (really) long (like months) after the event. It's hard to hand out awards when runners are scattered everywhere!
Refund Policy
There are no refunds for this event, however, If you withdraw from the event by May 20th, you will receive a 100% race credit (minus taxes, fees, and donation) for a future Persistence Racing event.
If you withdraw after May 20th you will receive a 50% credit.
Other
There will be no gender classifications for this event. There is simply an overall winner for each sub-event.
The Farthest is brought to you by the Persistence Racing Run Club.
Event Records
The Farthest (8 hours) Taylor Plumb: 80 km (2025)
The Half-Farthest (4 hours) Ben Congram: 45 km (2025)

Presented By:
Join us on June 20, 2026, at Confederation Park for The FAB 5K Run/Walk and 1K Dash.
About The FAB 5K
The FAB 5K is always our favourite day of the year! It’s the day we host a 5K event
that brings together community members and FAB participants to take on a 5K run or walk. Whether you are a first time 5Ker or aiming to cross the finish line with an Olympic qualifying time, this event is guaranteed to inspire you to dream big and live big.
The 5K starts and ends at the Edgewater Pavilion in Confederation Park and the course runs along the beautiful Hamilton Beach Strip. The energy is electric, the race food is yummy, the volunteers are next level, the FAB participants are so inspiring, and the course is fast and flat. Did we mention the energy is electric?
The event is also a key fundraiser to help us raise the much-needed funds that allow us to continue to offer our free and empowering FAB 5K Challenge program.
About our FAB Program
Every spring, FAB offers a free and empowering program to over 165 youth girls in Hamilton’s priority neighbourhoods. The program challenges participants to train for and finish a 5K run. Participants meet weekly with volunteer coaches for training, fun, and skill-building. They finish feeling proud, confident, and equipped with a goal-setting framework they can use for any future endeavour. The program culminates with FAB participants completing The FAB 5K. That’s right! 165 youth girls from Hamilton will be taking on this 5K as well. It’s absolutely inspiring!
Here are ways in which you can support
The FAB 5K is a key fundraiser for the FAB Foundation and we cannot do what we do without the volunteer and financial support of our community. Here’s how you can help us continue to make a big difference in the lives of youth girls and our community.
#1. Register and participate in one of our events. There is a 5k walk/run and a 1k fun run. Strollers are welcome. It’s such a beautiful route along the lake!

#2. Start up a personal fundraising page and ask your circle to give. If you raise $200 or more, we will reimburse you your entry fee. If you raise $500 or more, you’ll be entered into a draw for a grand prize!
#3. Make a donation. If you are coming to cheer everybody on, thank you so much for your support! Donations can be made by clicking the “donate now” button on this page. You can make a general donation to FAB or direct your donation to towards a runners personal fundraising page.
#4. Create a team when you register and invite others to join. Together you can set a team fundraising goal! All teams who raise $1,000 will also be entered into the grand prize draw.
What your participation will support
All money raised from this event will help us continue to offer our program to approximately 165 youth girls in Hamilton annually at no cost to them. Our program is FREE and each participant receives a new pair of running shoes, a training t-shirt, healthy snacks at each session, a goal setting journal and transportation and entry into local race and program events.

🏁 Speak Squad Kids 1K: 8:00 AM · 5K Race: 8:30 AM
The Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K is a chip-timed race along one of the most scenic waterfront routes in Ontario — Lake Ontario right beside you the entire way. Flat, fast, and beautiful. Whether you're chasing a personal best or crossing your first finish line, this course was made for you.
Then stay for everything else. The post-race Father's Day Waterfront Festival turns race day into a full community celebration — live music you can dance to, a jumping castle the kids won't want to leave, craft beer by the lake, local food, and the kind of afternoon that becomes a memory you talk about for years. Come for the run. Stay for the day.
