  International Hallers' Run

  The International Hallers' Run stands as a powerful symbol of the enduring connection between Poland and Canada—rooted in shared history, mutual respect, and the vibrant presence of the Polish community in Canada. This commemorative event honors the lasting Polish-Canadian friendship and pays tribute to the remarkable contributions and sacrifices made by both nations, especially through the legacy of General Józef Haller and the Blue Army.

  General Haller holds a prominent place in Polish military history, exemplifying leadership, determination, and international cooperation. As the commander of the Blue Army—composed largely of volunteers from North America—he showcased the vital support Poland received during its fight for independence in the early 20th century. The journey of over 22,000 soldiers from training camps in Canada to the battlefields of Europe under Haller’s leadership remains a striking testament to bravery, unity, and strategic success.

  His legacy extends beyond military achievements, encompassing civic activism, scouting, and nation-building efforts—reflecting a spirit of resilience and solidarity that continues to inspire. The International Hallers' Run, held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of National Defence of Canada, reflects the strong transatlantic bond between the two countries.

  On each side of the Atlantic, this meaningful event takes place in historically significant locations: Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada, the point of departure for Haller’s troops, and Jurczyce in Poland—the birthplace of General Haller himself.   The 32nd running of the Niagara Ultra Races. 80 km, 50 km, Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km foot race (on traffic-free asphalt footpath) following the Niagara River Parkway from Niagara-on-the-Lake past Fort George and on to Niagara Falls and back. In continuous sight of the Great Niagara River and turning around at the Falls, this fast course offers you the opportunity to run on a very scenic course steeped in Canadian and American history. This is will be an official event in the 2026 Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series.

  A presentation of the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers.

  Walkers are welcome in each division except for the 80 km (in applicable years), as long as they can meet the time limit. To be recognized as walkers contestants must voluntarily adhere to competitive walking rules.

  Sweatshirt to all participants registered by March 31, 2026.

  We're back for year two!

  Ramblers Run is a fitness forward, family friendly event among the vines at Palatine Hills Estate Winery. Walk with the family, run solo, or stroll with your dog—this race is all about movement, community and celebration.

  Race Day Schedule:

  8:30 AM – Registration Opens

  10:00 AM – 1.25 KM Family Fun Run/Walk

  10:30 AM – 5 KM Race (timed)

  11:00 AM – Food & Beverage Vendors Open

  11:30 AM – 1.25 KM Dog Walk

  11:45 AM – Winners Announced

  3:00 PM - Event closes

  *Please note:

  The 1.25km run is a fun run and is untimed. The 5km race is timed- bib pick up available on the day of the event at the registration table. Gift bag included in 1.25km and 5km runs only.

  Choose Your Run:

  • 1.25 KM Family Fun Run/Walk– Great for kids, seniors, and casual walkers

  • 5 KM Race (timed) – For runners, joggers, and the competitively curious with overall Men’s and Women’s winner prizes, plus prizes for top youth finishers.

  • 1.25 KM Dog Walk – Bring your pup along for the fun

  Prizes and Perks:

  Every participant receives:

  • A glass of Palatine Hills wine

  • A pair of custom Ramblers Run socks

  • Access to post-race food, drinks and live music

  • Non-alcoholic options available for participants under 19

  5 KM Race Awards:

  Prizes will consist of gift baskets from the winery & local vendors.

  Winners’ names will also be engraved on the Ramblers trophy displayed at the winery.

  • Overall first winner prizes for Men’s and Women’s divisions

  • Medals for 2nd and 3rd place Men’s and Women’s finishers

  • Youth category (Under 10) with a 1st place prize

  • Medals for 2nd and 3rd place youth finishers

  Celebrate the season with a fun and family-friendly race experience at Simcoe Park.

  Location: Simcoe Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake

  Distance: 1K and 5K

  This is an all-Santa race, so everyone is required to wear a Santa suit or festive Santa-style outfit.

  When registering, you can choose the option with a Santa suit included or without a Santa suit if you already have your own.

  Whether you wear our Santa suit or bring your own festive look, come ready to be part of a course full of Santas.
