  Who are we?

  Bumrun is a charity that raises awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention.

  For 15 years, we have organized 5K walk/run events and raised more than $1.8 million net for various colon cancer charity organizations.

  Our funds go toward colon cancer research, enhancing patient support programs for families living with colon cancer, and raising awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention.

  Canada has one of the highest colon cancer rates in the world, affecting 1 in 16 Canadians. But 90% of deaths could be prevented with screening, so get ahead of your behind and join us this Bumrun!

  What is Little Bums?

  Little Bums is a live event run for children ages 12 and under. Little Bums is 500M and begins 20 minutes before the live event 5K.

  Little Bums registration is $10.00, and you can register your child by clicking the REGISTER button on this page.

  Registration includes:

  • Personalized fundraising page

  Please note there is no race kit offered for Little Bums.

  Yes! You can register for the virtual Bumrun from anywhere in Canada here.

  Please note that we are unable to transfer registration between events, so you will not be able to change from live to virtual or vice versa once you have signed up.

  Registration includes:

  • Personalized fundraising page

  The virtual Bumrun does not include a race kit or a Finishers Medal.

  Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers—but together, we can make a difference.

  Kicking PancreAS 2026 is a fun, inclusive 5K for all levels and abilities—whether you choose to walk or run, set a personal goal and take it at your own pace.

  Returning to Vancouver, we’re building on an incredible 2025, where we saw 400 participants and over $96,000.00 in donations. This year, we’re aiming even higher! Our goals are:

  1. 500 participants

  2. $120,000 in fundraising!

  We are counting on participants to invite friends, family, and colleagues to join the movement. Together, we can make 2026 our most impactful year yet, in Manitoba

  Every step—and every dollar raised—supports pancreatic cancer awareness, patient support, healthcare education, and Canadian research, helping change outcomes for those impacted by this disease.

  The Big Elf Run Come join us for the 12th annual Big Elf Run on Saturday December 12th 2026. This holiday themed run offers a 5km/10km Big Elf Run/Walk (2pm) as well as a 1km Wee Elf Run/Walk (1pm) around scenic Stanley Park. Run with hundreds of elves, enjoy a DJ, “elfie station”, prize giveaways, vendors and more. The Big Elf Run tours picturesque Stanley Park. Starting at Lumberman's Arch, the course winds its way along trails surrounded by old oak trees before looping onto the seawall with hallmark views of Coal Harbour and the Burrard Inlet. With few inclines and mainly paved paths, everyone is assured a beautiful and stress-free run/walk. The route is for all ages and abilities.
