KANGAROOBIE KLASSIC
Swim 1km : MTB 16km : Paddle 5.7km : Run 6.5km
A family friendly adventure race consisting of river swim, mountain bike, kayak and trail running legs. Compete as an individual completing all four legs or as part of a team of 2,3 or 4 competing relay style. Junior events at the conclusion of the main race include the Junior Ninja Trail run for 6 - 12 year olds and the Gellibrand Eel Junior triathlon recommended for participants from 8 - 14 years
The cry was heard across the land - "Let the Athletic Proletariat unite once a year to celebrate ordinary performances in an extraordinary location." And so the Kangaroobie Klassic was born. The Adventure Racing Championship of the known universe ( ie Princetown and Lower Gellibrand). And it was decreed that every March on Autumnal Equinox give or take a few weeks they would wave their feeble arms in the air standing proud and united in stretched lycra and collective mediocrity.
And then it would get ugly!
