  Victoria's iconic Great Ocean Road is home to the Great Ocean Road Running Festival. Panoramic views of the Southern Ocean and the famous seaside location will attract participants or all ages & abilities from around the world to participate in one of the nine events over 16-17 May 2026.

  60 km Ultra Marathon

  Starts: Sunday May 17 at 8:00am from Lorne

  44km Great Ocean Road Marathon

  Starts: Sunday May 17 at 8:00am from Lorne

  23km Half Marathon

  Starts: Sunday May 17 at 8:00am from Kennett River

  12km Trail Run

  Starts: Sunday May 17 at 8:10 from Lorne

  Great Ocean Road Walk (5km or 10km options)

  Starts: Sunday May 17 at 8:30am from Lorne

  14km Paradise Run

  Starts: Saturday May 16 at 1:00pm from Apollo Bay Hotel

  6km Run

  Starts: Saturday May 16 at 11:30am from Apollo Bay Hotel

  Welcome to the 3rd running of theGreat Ocean Trail Ultra

  Australia’s most iconic oceanside ultra, weaving its singletrack magic alongside the most famous coastline our continent has to offer.

  Come run the icon with us on 24th October 2026.

  Choose from:

  100km solo (capped entries 250)

  100km relay team of two (capped entries 50 / 25 teams)

  45km solo (capped entries 150)

  We give thanks to the founder of the event, Andy Hewat, for entrusting this event to us. We aim to honour his legacy of what is a foundation event in the annuls of Australia's trail running history, and honour the efforts of all runners and volunteers who have contributed to the event over the years.

  We hope to keep growing the event while maintaining its grassroots vibe, welcoming atmosphere and deliverance of many finish line hugs. We're famous for em.
