Vision Valley - this site is rapidly becoming the premiere outdoor education facility in Sydney and we are very pleased to experience it this week.
Ready to explore Sydney’s parks and urban bushland in a whole new way?
Whether you’re a confident navigator or just curious about giving orienteering a go, the Saturday Orienteering Series is your weekly chance to get outdoors, discover hidden pockets of nature, and build your skills one map at a time.
How you take part is entirely up to you:
Head out solo and enjoy the challenge of finding the cleanest, smartest route
Team up with friends for a shared adventure
Or wander the course with family and make it a relaxed weekend outing
New to orienteering? Perfect. Each event includes clear maps, beginner‑friendly courses, and friendly guidance to help you get started. Just arrive in comfortable activewear and bring a sense of curiosity.
Saturdays become fresh air, gentle (or fast) exploration, and the fun of navigating through parks, reserves, and pockets of urban bushland you may never have noticed before.
Come along, get moving, and discover something new.

Courses: Warm Up (recommended starting course for beginners), Short Line, Long Line, and Score. If you're not sure which one is best, we can work it out on the day! If you want more, entrants are also welcome to run multiple courses on the day.
SPORTident timing is used for all courses. If you do not own a SPORTident card, please hire one when entering.
Normal entry fees:
Adults - $18 (members -15%)
School Students - $15 (members -15%)
(a $2 late fee applies if entering after midday on Thursday before the event)
Timing card hire - $4 per entrant
Prices include GST and merchant fees.
Orienteering club members can claim the member discount through the use of the promo code "ONSW" at the checkout.

We will be hosting three FREE training sessions to help get you prepared for the event, and to build a sense of community along the way.

Availability: Places will be capped, so registration is essential
Age guidelines: Children aged 7-12 MUST be accompanied with a participating adult, and everyone must be registered.
Fitness guidelines: No minimum requirements, but we do recommend getting clearance from a doctor and/or physiotherapist if you returning from injury or completely new to running.

The Beach2Beach Charity Run is a vibrant community event held on the stunning Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Participants of all ages and fitness levels take on the challenge of running or walking along a picturesque course that links some of the region’s most iconic beaches. Whether tackling the Half Marathon, the epic 14km course, or opting for the shorter 6km or 3km distances, the event offers something for everyone.
