Seventh Annual Rudy's Runners 5K will be held Saturday June 27th - the morning of Eye to the Skies in Holgate.

This race was started with the Rudy Casillas family as a memorial 5K in Rudy's honor.

Rudy Casillas was an active runner and marathoner from Holgate Ohio and was seen daily running around town.

Seventh Annual Rudy's Runners June 27th 2026.Funds raised this year from the 5K will continue to go the Rudy's Runner Memorial Scholarship, which is for Holgate High School seniors who ran cross country or track.

The race will run through the streets of Holgate.

Packet Pickup starts at 8AM day of the race.

We will have race day registration allowed, but no shirt guarantee after June 20th. Register early to guarantee a t-shirt!

Cash Prizes for top 3 female and male finishers.

2nd place $150

3rd place $75

Start and Finish line will be at the track at Holgate High School

    Please join us Saturday, April 18th, 2026, for the Fourth Annual Operation K.A.V.I.C. 5K Run/Walk. Bring your friends and family to this kid friendly event, taking place at Keller Logistics Group's new Headquarters in Defiance, Ohio.

    Runners will complete a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) course. Walkers will have the option of completing a 3.1 mile, or 1 mile course.

    Operation K.A.V.I.C. is a non-profit based in Defiance Ohio which assists veterans in crisis. Operation K.A.V.I.C. is there to fill the gaps in the veterans military benefits. In the past, we’ve been able to help with dental bills, car repairs, tools for work, therapy dogs, home repairs and much more! If you can think of it, we’ve probably helped with it.

    And the 5K will start at the fairground, and you can take the road to Oberhaus Park, which is about a mile away. Once at the park, participants can complete an additional three miles using the park sidewalk before returning to the fairgrounds. In addition to the walk, the day will include a car show hosted by the River City Rodders, inflatables for children, food trucks, and a Touch A Truck experience. Wyatt's Walk benefits the Wyatt Davis Memorial Scholarship which was started in memory of Wyatt Davis, a great young man who set the standard for being a role model in every aspect of his short life. Wyatt's life was cut short at 18 years old after a battle with Osteosarcoma.
