The annual Summer Kick-Off Party! The Baltimore 10-Miler returns to Druid Hill Park just outside the Maryland Zoo. A challenging yet fair course, the 10-Miler takes participants through parts of Baltimore that are often not appreciated when driving through them. The premiums for this race never disappoint and the post-race party is a great reward for completing the race– complete with cold towels, fresh watermelon and icy craft beer to enjoy while listening to live music on the spacious lawn of the zoo.

This National Cancer Survivors Day®, wear your best purple as we celebrate a decade of hope, progress, lives saved and lives remembered. Cancer survivors, families, healthcare heroes and supporters will unite at this extraordinary venue for our biggest celebration yet, complete with special anniversary activities and the chance to stride past zebras and giraffes while making history in the fight against below-the-belt cancers.

Pride 5K will take place on Sunday June 14 2026 at Druid Hill Park with an 8:00 am start.

LOCATION:

On-site packet pickup at the Chinese Pavilion; race will start and finish in the same area.

Parking - there is parking available throughout the park (please be aware of any "No Parking" signs due to the Pride In the Park Festival) or you can follow the signs to the race parking area, just south of the baseball field. Get ready, Baltimore! The Run Up to Juneteenth (RUTJ) 5K/1-Mile is proud to serve as the official kick-off to AFRAM’s 50th Anniversary—a celebration of culture, history, unity, and joy in our city. This year, we’re moving the race to Druid Hill Park, returning to AFRAM’s original routes and honoring the legacy of the community runs that were part of the festival years ago. And because AFRAM began in 1976, we’re inviting you to throw it back—tube socks, headbands, short shorts, retro vibes and all! Want to go full disco-meets-track-star? We’re here for it. Prefer your usual race-day gear? Perfect. We’ll be awarding a prize for Best 1976 Throwback Outfit, so have fun with it! Race for the Future is Mercy Health Services’ inaugural 5K and 1-mile walk, created to help fuel the Mercy Forever 150th Anniversary Campaign and the We Are 150 employee engagement initiative. The Mercy Forever campaign celebrates 150 years of compassionate care while investing in the next generation of healing services for our community.

Taking place at the Maryland Zoo, this community-wide event brings together patients, caregivers, employees, corporate partners, families, and friends to move with purpose, honoring Mercy’s legacy and ensuring that the mission of Mercy lives on forever.

Proceeds from the Race for the Future will support critical programs and initiatives that expand access to care, advance medical innovation, and strengthen the communities we serve. Every step taken represents a commitment to Mercy’s mission: to heal, to comfort, and to serve those who need us most.
