Discounted registration due to a very generous donor

Join Dr. Assar Rather, colorectal surgeon and Adrianne Fisher NP for the first annual Colorectal Cancer Awareness 5K. Colorectal cancer is a leading cause of cancer death in the United States and is highly preventable through screening and early detection. March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and offers us an opportunity to educate the community about prevention, early detection, and risk factors for colorectal cancer. All funds raised will be donated to the Cancer Support Community Delaware, which is a wonderful nonprofit organization that offers support groups and other programs at no cost to patients and their caregivers. They strive to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by the community. We hope that you will join us for this fun 5K run to bring awareness to a cause that is very important to us!

    5K Run/Walk

Alpha Phi Alpha's Mission is to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

The Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter 5K Run/Walk is a community-driven event aimed at promoting health and wellness while raising funds for a noble cause.

The proceeds from this event will directly contribute to the fraternities national projects which are listed below. Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter has a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.

    1. "Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College" (to decrease high school dropout rates and increase the number of young men attending and graduating from college).

    2. Big Brothers Big Sisters (Partnership to increase the number of African American mentors for our youth).

    3. Project Alpha (to provide young men, ages 12-18 with accurate information on sexual health, responsibility and teenage pregnancy from a male perspective).

    4. Boy Scouts of America (To provide character building and leadership training for young men).

These programs are considered the "hallmark" of Alpha Phi Alpha's commitment to service and leadership. We look forward to a successful event supporting our fraternity national programs.
