Little known facts about the trails of Forest Park:

The Wisconsinian glaciation molded this land between 20,000 and 10,000 years ago and left the Harbor Hill Moraine, a series of small hills known as “knob and kettle” terrain, including Forest Park. Which means the trails are naturally carved, not manmade like most nyc parks. Come explore and experience the beautiful 100 year old pine grove and longest continuous oak forest in Queens!

This race is dedicated to Pinky the Pacer, the lil white and brown dog with the pink nose who completed several thousand miles of trail running through the woods of Forest Park in Queens. Legends never die.

Queens is all about diversity. It’s NYC’s second most populous borough with 2.3 M people living in a community with the highest rate of racial and ethnic variety of all populous counties in the nation. So, there is no better way to start and finish a race in Queens, NYC than through Flushing Meadows Park. You’ll run past the Unisphere on a relatively lat and fast course with two small uphill sections when you cross an overpass. The views from the overpass are so beautiful that you’ll hardly notice.

Founded in 2018, The Triboro Adventure Tour is the only race that will take you on a triple borough journey from Queens through Manhattan and the Bronx! Take a tour through South Bronx, East Harlem and Randall’s Island via the Triborough Bridge for miles of adventure starting & finishing in Astoria, Queens

Triboro - not only because you’re going through three boroughs but also up and over the Triborough Bridge to start and finish.

Adventure - as in “choose your own adventure” you can hit the checkpoints in any order you like.

Tour - you’ll get a route thru the city definitely less traveled, however no less scenic than the usual tourist traps, perfect for out of towners or nyc natives!

Truly a race against the clock, runners will need to navigate the best way they see fit for themselves to get through the course fastest. In order to successfully complete the race, you must reach the five checkpoints laid out on the map. Team WEPA was born in the summer of 2016 in New York City with a single mission: reach people who thought running wasn't for them. Founded on the belief that every milestone is earned through effort and grit, the crew now runs 35 strong. What started as helping someone run their first mile has become a tight-knit family rooted in the Work. Excel. Persevere. Achieve. philosophy. Every Thursday night, Team WEPA gathers at the Corona Diner in Queens to run together through the city streets. They hold each other accountable, celebrate every step forward, and make sure no one gets left behind.

GoldFinger Track Club started in March 2016 when founder Jerry and his crew pulled off an upset relay race victory in Brooklyn that no one saw coming. Word spread fast, and a real running community crystallized around that moment. What began as an unexpected win evolved into a crew of athletes from different countries, different speeds, and different backgrounds, all bound by shared commitment and grind. GoldFinger operates on its own terms, with members scattered across time zones but united when it matters most. Every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., the crew gathers at Nacho Macho Taco in Brooklyn for a relaxed, no-pressure hangout that keeps the community anchored. No mandatory runs between those gatherings, just real dedication when races and events come around.

Girls Run NYC began in January 2014 when Jessie Zapo gathered nearly twenty women for the first session at a cycling shop on Manhattan's Lower East Side. What started as a cold winter run has grown into a community of hundreds. The crew operates on a simple philosophy: running is a great equalizer, and doing it together builds accountability, real motivation, and lasting friendships. Many of the earliest members have become leaders, carrying the community forward. Every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., Girls Run NYC meets at McCarren Park track in Brooklyn for structured workouts that welcome all paces and abilities.
