Nuremberg Track Club started in April 2019 when three friends with Dad Bods set their sights on the Berlin Marathon. What began as a training mission became something bigger, a community built on rejecting the polish of corporate running culture. Now about 20 runners strong, NTRC operates without gatekeeping or brand loyalty, just people who show up and put in the work. Every Tuesday they gather for socials, Thursdays mean track sessions, and Sundays bring long runs, three weekly chances to keep things honest in Nuremberg.

Every Sunday at five in the afternoon, runners gather outside Leon's in Bayreuth with no sign-up required and no pace requirement imposed. Runner's High Collective 954 launched in October 2024, founded by two sport business students who wanted to fill a gap Bayreuth didn't know it was missing: a proper run club with no barriers, no bureaucracy, no pressure to perform. Within months, the crew grew to around 500 members, a remarkable number for a mid-sized Franconian city built almost entirely on word of mouth. The founding philosophy has stayed consistent even as the numbers climbed. Runs are announced via Instagram, you show up, you run. The format strips away friction, and the atmosphere rewards it. Easy and moderate paces, social first. The Sunday Sundowner runs year-round at 17:00, its late-afternoon slot a deliberate signal that sessions are meant to be enjoyed, not suffered. Post-run coffee or drinks keep the community connected between runs.
