Hueston Woods Trail Race

Johnnycake Jog 5 Miler and 5K – July 12, 2026

Location: Lake County Fairgrounds, Painesville, OH

Start Time: 8:00 AM (5 Miler) 8:15 AM (5K)

Dust off your bell bottoms and lace up those running shoes—it’s time to get groovy at this far-out 5 Mile & 5K race! Inspired by the free-spirited vibes of the 1970s, this event is all about peace, love, good energy, and even better miles. Whether you’re cruising through the 5K or going the distance in the 5-miler, you’ll be running on waves of flower-power fun.

Expect a chill, feel-good atmosphere from start to finish, with funky tunes, retro flair, and plenty of hippie soul along the course. Tie-dye, headbands, fringe, and big smiles are highly encouraged—this is your chance to let your inner flower child shine. The course is designed for runners and walkers alike, so everyone can relax, move, and enjoy the ride.

Registration includes a finisher medal, and T-Shirt

Early packet pick-up takes place at Second Sole on Saturday, July11th from 11:00am - 6:00pm.

Race day packet pick-up will be at Lake County Fairgrounds starting at 7:00am - 8:00am

Race Start time: 8:30AM

T-Shirts for the first 150 people who register. Guaranteed shirt size available for those who registered by August 15, 2025.

Why: This race is to raise awareness and support for Project Hope for the Homeless, the only emergency homeless shelter in Lake County

For the 5K race: The top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers will be awarded.

Awards will also be given to the top 3 finishers in these age groups: 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older

The 1 Mile Walk is untimed and no awards will be given.

Location: Project Hope for the Homeless, 25 Freedom Road, Painesville Township, Ohio - (off Newell Street, first street north of the railroad tracks)

Parking: The Dyson Corporation parking lot on Freedom Road just to the west of Project Hope for the Homeless.

Day of event in-person registration along with race bib and shirt distributions will be from 7:30 am to 8:15 am Sat. Aug. 23 at Project Hope for the Homeless.

Northern Ohio- Half Marathon-5K-2-person Relay – October 11, 2026

Location: Headlands Beach State Park

Start Time: 8:00 AM (Half Marathon & Relay) 8:30 AM (5K)

The Northern Ohio Half Marathon, 2-Person Relay & 5K is a scenic fall running event held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Mentor, Ohio, starting at Headlands Beach State Park. Runners can choose from a beautiful half marathon, team up with a partner for the 2-person relay or take part in the 5K. All winding through the vibrant northern Mentor landscape with views of Lake Erie’s shoreline and the surrounding autumn scenery to inspire every stride.

• Registration includes a finisher medal and T-shirt

• Early packet pick-up takes place at Second Sole Mentor on Saturday, October10th from 11:00am - 4:00pm.

• Race day packet pick-up will be at Headlands beach State Park starting at 7:00am - 8:15 am

• The Half Marathon and Relay will begin at 8:00 AM. The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 am.
