Lace up your running or walking shoes and invite your family and friends to join us for a unique music-filled 5K run and 1-mile walk event on the historic Ma & Pa Trail in Harford County to support The Turntable Fund, Inc. Enjoy live music performed by talented local musicians along the trail, providing a rhythmic backdrop to your run or walk. The Turntable Fund, Inc. in Harford County, MD, aims to support musicians facing financial challenges when their live performances are disrupted. The Harford County NAACP 4th Annual Freedom 5K Run/Walk will take place on the Ma & Pa Trail at Edgely Grove Park. The race will begin at Annie's Playground, 864 Smith Lane, Fallston, MD 21047. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m., with the run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Swag and Medals will be given to each participant.

There will be a DJ, Food Trucks: Kona Ice, Coffee by Coffee Coffee, Divergent Donuts, Vendors, and More.

If you want to Run/Walk Virtually, please register as normal and email the race director for further information.

Early Bird Special: $20 for ages 12 and under and $40 for ages 13 and up from 4/1/2026 until 4/30/2026. Registration rates increase to $25 for ages 12 and under and $45 for ages 13 and up (5/1/2026-6/27/2026). Virtual Participants $45.

Register by June 1, 2026, to get the race swag (shirt and towel). If you register after June 1, 2026, you will not be guaranteed a shirt.

The Moonlight 5K and Twilight Kids Run presented by Brooks is the best way to spend a summer evening! 5K participants in this popular family-friendly event receive a race bib with chip timing, a finishers medal, glow bracelets, post-race food and drink (one free beer from Independent Brewing Company - 21+), and a tech shirt from Brooks. Participants in the Twilight Kids Run will receive a race bib with chip timing, a special race-themed finisher ribbon, glow bracelets, and a ticket to redeem for a Kona ice!

Costumes and colorful clothing are encouraged!

Welcome to the 12th annual Catch-A-Pig (CAP) 5K – this is a great opportunity to have a unique race experience AND support The Boys & Girls Club of Harford County!

The race is an out-and-back along the MA & PA Trail. 1K Bacon Stroll walkers are invited to join in the fun!

The kicker: THIS IS A CHASE! We’ll have young runners dressed in pink pig shirts (a.k.a. "the piglets"). They will have a three minutes head start on the adult runners. Those who pass at least one of the piglets before crossing the finish line get their name into a special drawing for prizes. BUT LOOK OUT! There are also a few BIG, BAD WOLVES who will get a late (seven minute) jump on you. If they all pass you, you'll lose the opportunity for the special drawing

All proceeds after costs will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford and Cecil Counties.

IF YOU ARE UNDER 13 AND WANT TO BE ONE OF OUR PIGLETS: We are accepting runners under the age of 13 to take off first. These young ones get a FREE pig t-shirt.

Bring your pup! Sign him/her up to join you (sign them up under the dog option). Dogs must be registered (just $10) and on a leash.
