Since 1979 Fools Five Road Race, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has brought people from around the world to Lewiston, Minnesota, to raise funds for cancer research. Noted past runners/guest speakers have been Dick Beardsley, Garry Bjorklund, Carrie Tollefson, Alberto Salazar, Tony Schiller, Sarah Thorsett (Renk), Frank Shorter, Priscilla Welch, Kenechi Udeze, and Gabriele Anderson. Pledges are donated to Gundersen Medical Foundation in La Crosse, WI, and the Rochester Eagles Cancer Telethon in Rochester, MN, which donates to the Mayo Clinic, The Hormel Institute for Cancer Research, and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.

    Experience one of the Midwest's most scenic race courses. Swim beneath the Sugar Loaf peak in Lake Winona, then head out for some country cycling, finishing with a flat, fast run along beautiful Lake Winona and ending at the historic Lake Park bandshell.

    In addition to the Olympic and Sprint triathlons, we offer two Olympic and Sprint Aquabike events and a Duathlon.

    Age Restrictions

    • Participants must reach the age of 18 by 12/31/2026 to participate in the Olympic Triathlon and Olympic Aquabike Distances.

    • Participants must reach the age of 13 by 12/31/2026 to participate in the Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, and Aquabike Sprint Distances.

    NO DOGS ALLOWED AT TRINONA

    Winona City Ordinance 36.03 prohibits dogs on the east half of Lake Park. Since this is where Trinona takes place, we ask that you please leave your pets at home.

    Holmen Knights of Columbus is excited to host the Kornfest Fun Run this year!

    Our mission is to render financial aid to members and their families. The Knights of Columbus also offers mutual help and assistance to all who are sick, physically challenged, and needy. The Knights of Columbus promotes social, and intellectual fellowship among members, their families, and communities through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief work.

    Support the Local Holmen and Lacrosse Area!

    The Annual Kornfest Run is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Holmen Knights of Columbus, providing help to people in need in the La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen Area.

    EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

    There will be fun family friendly music along with a few refreshments for runners and walkers.

    DRESS TO IMPRESS

    Pick your favorite decade—be it the roaring '20s, groovy '70s, or neon '80s—and don your best retro attire. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

    GREAT MUSIC

    Enjoy music from all decades and free food and water available.

    Commemorative T-Shirt

    Registered participants will receive an exclusive "Dashing Through The Decades" t-shirt.

    AUTOMATIC TIMING

    You'll have a disposable chip attached to your bib that will track your time. All runner times will be available online immediately after you complete your run.

    MEDALS AND AWARDS

    1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award medals will be given to the overall winners for both male and female for both 2 mile and 10K finishers in the following age categories:

    0-13 (10K) 20-29 50-59

    0-10, 11-13 (2 Mile) 30-39 60-69

    14-19 40-49 70+

    Fun prize drawing for kids ages 0-13 that complete the 10K or 2 mile run.

    7:00 - 7:50 Packet Pickup/Late Registration

    8:00 - 10K Start

    8:10: 2 Mile Start

    8:15: 2 Mile Walkers Start

    Awards - Medals will be presented to winners after all participants have returned.

    Fees

    Everyone receives a t-shirt with their registration (no guarantee of shirt/size on race day, is it on a first come first serve basis). Card payments only the day of the run. No cash.

    Age 0-13

    $10 - Register online from March 1 to August 16.

    Age 14+

    $30 - Register online from March 10 to August 9.

    $35 - Register online from August 9 to August 16.

    $35 - Day of event
