Southern Food Basket invites you to lace up your running shoes and be part of a special milestone as we celebrate 35 Years of Rewards with our 35th Anniversary 5K Run & Walk.

This event is dedicated to the memory of our late founder, Mr. Nazim Mohammed, whose vision, leadership and commitment to serving communities helped shape Southern Food Basket into the company it is today.

As we honor his legacy, we invite families, friends, fitness enthusiasts, corporate teams and members of the wider community to join us for a morning of health, unity and celebration.

This 5K run/walk is part of our community health initiatives.

The event is intended to promote healthy living and wellness within the wider community, and we anticipate participation from both church members and the general public. We also aim to educate participants on the 8 pillars of health as incorporated in the mnemonic in NEWSTART:

As we are located in rural community of Moruga, we are seeking to bring medical aid through health-related initiatives to families within our community, whose socio-economic challenges has limited their access to such. Part proceeds will support the procurement of blood glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, first aid kits and other medical equipment to community members allowing them improved monitoring and control of chronic lifestyle diseases afflicting them.

The Naparima Bowl is introducing a signature annual event designed to uplift South Trinidad's arts scene and deepen community ties. Operating within a highly visible and professionally managed space, this unique initiative merges fitness and culture to spark massive community participation.
