About the Event Come party with us at The Hamsterwheel! This will be our 12th idiotic year for this 6/12/24/30 hour event!!! Starting near the Hillsborough County Fairground entrance, runners will make their way outward on the New Boston Rail Trail along the Piscataquog River to the turnaround point at Lang's Station. ALL RACES START in 15 minute intervals AT 9:00AM ON SATURDAY: Runners will return on that trail and turn right onto the gravel service road that runs the perimeter of the fairgrounds. The course is 4.0 miles in total and is largely flat with one minor speedbump....it's scenic and gentle on the legs....A great opportunity for someone looking to try ultrarunning for the first time or for seasoned runners to see just how many miles they can accomplish....Loop tracking will be handled again this year by Second Wind Timing at the Start/Finish via chipped Bibs. To ensure an accurate total, runners should post their bibs to the FRONT of their bodies (shirt/shorts/pants) and the

number should be clearly visible. Buckles! Heck yeah!! Come run 100 fun miles individually with us and you get the special Hamsterwheel belt buckle with the Zombie red eyes!!Pull off 100 with a team and we even have a buckle for you! Stay for post-race refreshments sponsored by DCA Parent Connect. All proceeds from this community 5K will benefit the Dublin Christian Academy athletics programs: DCA Stags soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Note for 5k Course: Known among DCA athletes as “the loop,” the scenic, single-lap 5K course begins at the playground on the school’s main campus on Page

Road. The course begins mostly flat and runs south down Page Road, turns east (left) on Craig Road, north (left) on Route 137, west

(left) on Windmill Hill Road where the elevation gradually rises, and finally, south (left) on Page Road up Alsi’s Hill, west (right) on

the dirt loop beyond the playground, north (left) back on to Page Road, and ends back at DCA’s playground. This gently rolling, open-road course has a mix of paved road and gravel.

Note for our Fun Run: We have a beautiful quarter-mile fun run begins at the DCA playground and follows the dirt drive past the shop, then turns south (right) onto

the dirt drive that leads to the field cottage with a view of Mount Monadnock on the right. The course continues east (left) up Carriage

Path (grass path between the stone walls) and then turns north (left) at the gate onto Page Road, ending back at the playground

About The Midstate Massive Ultra Trail (UTMB Index race) 100M, 50M and 50K point to point races, wind through the mountains, fields, roads and rivers of central Massachusetts, with border crossings in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. You have three race options that will test your will to endure as you race, run and climb amidst the height of New England’s autumn. You will navigate the historic Midstate Trail following it's pre-marked yellow triangle blazes. The Midstate Massive Ultra Trail is your doorway to adventure and discovery. A point to point race with Wave Starts So why wave starts?Wave starts are what make this race possible. We start runners slowest to fastest for both the 100 and 50M events to minimize the impact to the trail and to ensure on-course support throughout each race. Aid Station cutoff times are based on this model. Your estimated pace is critical in helping us seed you in the proper wave. Therefore it’s important that you provide as accurate a prediction

of your estimated pace as possible. Please note that if you outrun our support, you risk arriving at an Aid Station without food, water and/or medical support. We reserve the right to hold any runner that is outrunning the race support as defined by the Aid Station Open and Close times. How to update your estimated pace As you dial in your training, you can edit your estimated pace up until registration closes through your Ultrasignup account. See here.
