Built on the belief that it takes a village to make a difference, this event brings runners, walkers, and the local community together for an inclusive, high-energy morning of movement and connection.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Care at UMass Memorial Medical Center and Boston Medical Center, supporting patient care and research.

The Team Hoyt Memorial Yes You Can Run Together

FEATURING 3 EVENTS:

Team Hoyt Taper - 5 Mile Run perfectly timed to meet the needs of runners as they taper down one week before the Boston Marathon. We run 5 miles to honor the same distance of the first race Dick & Rick ran together. Running past the iconic "Yes You Can" statue next to Hopkinton Common.

Team Hoyt Two Step - 2 Mile Walk to show that "two-gether" we can all participate. Walk to the iconic "Yes You Can" statue and back to the world famous after party.

Team Hoyt Tot Trot - Kids Race Just before the awards ceremony. Watch our future stars of running as they take the field across from the finish line.

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join us on Sunday, April 11, 2025. Join us in Medfield at McCarthy Park & Fields for a course that winds through tree-lined streets, past rolling fields, and along serene nature trails, offering a mix of paved roads and well-maintained paths. Runners will experience gentle hills and open stretches that showcase the town’s beauty, making for a dynamic and enjoyable race experience. Participants of all abilities - from seasoned runners to casual walkers - can enjoy a fun day out. Fun for the youngest among us starts at 9 am with a Fun Run for ages 4 - 10. Sign up before March 11th and get a complimentary race shirt.

Our event is more than just a race. Every step taken on race day contributes to the journey of a family transitioning out of homelessness, with 10% of the funds raised supporting the Soles of Medfield Scholarship Fund.

Not a runner? No worries! Join us anyway and soak in the vibrant atmosphere and energy of the day. Whether you are hitting the trails or cheering from the sidelines, this event promises something special for everyone.

The 5k course is along the Medfield Rail Trail. The 10k course starts on the Medfield Rail Trail then heads onto the roads of Medfield and returns back to the Rail Trail. Course maps can be found below.

In addition to the 5k we're excited to introduce a special Kids' Race for all abilities. Watch your little ones dash with joy and embrace the spirit of inclusion. Join us for the Boxborough Recreation Commission's 4th Annual Run BXB!

Run BXB is a 5K and will take place on Sunday April 12, 2026 at 11am.

This year the Recreation Commission is using the race as a fundraiser to renovate the playground at Flerra Meadows in Boxborough, MA. $5 from each registration will go to support this project! Find out more about the playground here
