Join us for the IUP College of Health Sciences “Run for the Health of It” 5K Race, a fun and meaningful event to support the future of healthcare education! This community-driven race is designed to raise funds for scholarships, research, and innovative programs at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences.

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a great way to give back, this race has something for everyone. The scenic 5K course winds through the beautiful campus, providing a perfect mix of fitness and community spirit. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!

Your participation will directly benefit students pursuing careers in health fields, from nursing and allied health to public health and exercise science. With your support, we can continue to empower the next generation of healthcare leaders. The race will begin at Zink Hall at 10 AM on September 27, 2026. Event T-shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered by Sept. 12, 2026.

    Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

    Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

    Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners. Please note the field where races are held is uphill from the parking lot and may be difficult to access for those using wheelchairs or walkers.

    Makeup Date Information: 5/17/2026

    Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

    Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

    Our 2nd annual 5K is scheduled for May 31, 2026 at Mack Park here in beautiful Indiana PA! More details will continue to be updated but one thing is for sure - we are going BIGGER and BETTER this year!

    Our race route will take you from Mack Park through IUP and the fairgrounds, and our fun run will be on the track. Start time is expected to be 9am! This year we have partnered with the YMCA of Indiana County so that ALL race participants can swim at Mack Pool for FREE after the run! We have SO MUCH more fun planned - our FOAM CANNON will be deployed after the race and KONA ICE will be on site!

    $20 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION Through April 30, 2026!

    Quota of Indiana, PA is hosting its 10th Annual 5k fundraising event, both in-person and virtually. With over 50 active members, we have strived to benefit our community for the last 70 years. Quotarians are known especially for their service to deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech impaired individuals, and disadvantaged women and children. The Quota 5k Run/Walk is an event that promotes healthy living and the funds raised benefit our scholarships - the Gold Scholarship and the IUP Speech and Hearing Scholarship.

    The in-person 5K will take place at the Hoodlebug Trail on Saturday, June 6th. Day of registration begins at 8:00 AM with the race starting promptly at 9:00 AM.

    If you can't join us on race day, the virtual option will take place from June 6th - June 20th. Walkers or Runners can participate from any place at anytime they prefer between those dates. You can walk or run on a trail, a track or a treadmill - wherever you want!
