Run for the Dogs 5K features a fast, flat, and scenic course and proceeds from this event support Chicagoland Lab Rescue!

Join us on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at either 8:30 am or 10:00 am for an exciting event that features the scenic views of Blue Star Memorial Woods, Glenview, IL and supports Chicagoland Lab Rescue. With awesome swag for all dog lovers and runners, this race is a sure thing for a great doggy good time! This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results will be posted at www.J3Timing.com.

Can I Run with My Pet? Absolutely! We are running to support pets, pet lovers, and animal charities! So you can run or walk with or without your pet! All pets that are participating must be on a short lead and well behaved.

Start Time: All Participants will start at either 8:30 am or 10: 00 am.

Packet Pickup: will be on race day beginning 1 hour prior to race start time.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

This fun run and walk will support 8th grade activities, and the legacy gift left for generations of Avoca D37 students to come. Additional proceeds will also be donated to charity.

이번 5K 러닝 페스티벌은 청년 세대를 복음 안에서 다시 세우고 공동체를 회복하기 위한 믿음의 발걸음이자, 지역사회를 섬기기 위한 나눔의 실천입니다. 본 행사의 수익금은 지역사회 단체인 Kan-Win에 기부되어 도움이 필요한 이웃을 지원하는 데 사용될 예정입니다. 달리기를 통해 믿음과 사랑을 나누며, 교회와 지역사회가 함께 세워지는 의미 있는 시간이 되기를 소망합니다.

This 5K Running Festival is a step of faith to restore young adults in Christ and rebuild meaningful community, while also serving our local neighbors through generosity. Proceeds from this event will be donated to Kan-Win to support their ongoing work in the community. Through running, fellowship, and giving, we hope this event will strengthen both the church and the broader community we are called to serve.
