For the 14th year, our Iron Eagle Paddle & Run fundraiser is set for Saturday, August 8,2026 at Eagle Creek Park! This adventure race is motivated by our desire to raise funds for the betterment of Eagle Creek Park (100% of proceeds benefit Eagle Creek Park!). The race is open to all ages. Solo and 2 or 3-person teams are all welcome! 3-person teams are not eligible for prizes

Please join us for a trail run through one of the nation's largest city parks while catching a glimpse of the park's wonderful scenery. Competitors have the option to bring their own kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddle board, or rent a boat in advance through Eagle Creek Outfitters. All participants bringing their own water craft are required to bring a PFD (personal flotation device), otherwise known as a life jacket.

The race includes the following segments:

    • 2.6 mile trail run - from the beach to the marina

    • 1.5 mile paddle

    • 2.6 mile trail run back to the beach area

The course is set up similar to a triathlon with a transition area where you can stage your gear for each leg.

Boat Rentals (BOOK IN ADVANCE): Rental site expected to open in late April, please make sure to come back and secure your rental if registering before thenhttps://wheelfunrentals.com/in/indianapolis/eagle-creek-outfitters/tours/iron-eagle-paddle-run-iron-eagle-paddle-run/

Eagle Creek Outfitters & Adventure Outpost will donate $10 of each boat rental to the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.

All Eagle Creek Park Foundation members receive $10 off race entry. Email [email protected] to retrieve your race registration code. Visit http://eaglecreekpark.org to become a Foundation member.

***Dogs are not allowed this year. We love them, but the trails are not wide enough.

The race will begin at the beach area at 8:00 am.
