Get your paddles ready for the 6th annual Great American Triathlon, the Sacramento region’s premier summertime outdoor sporting event set on the stunning American River Parkway.

The Great American Triathlon is a challenging athletic competition that is as unique as it is fun. Following the historic route of Eppie’s Great Race, The Great American Triathlon includes a 5.95-mile run, a 12.5-mile bike and a 6.10-mile paddle, with categories for competitors of all types, from world-class athletes to families seeking to create a new family tradition.

All race finishers will receive a beautiful Great American Triathlon finisher medal to commemorate their accomplishment. Participation is limited, so sign up today to ensure your spot in this incomparable athletic event that is destined to define summertime fun in the Sacramento sun!

Join us on the last Sunday of July at the Pear Fair! It's our 52nd Pear Fair and we want you to celebrate the Bartlett Pear Harvest by running with us! Choose either 5 or 10 miles on our beautiful country course. (Unfortunately, our course and our fair does not allow dogs. And, according to my children, it's way too bumpy for the stroller!)

The sixth annual Race to Slow the Pace 5K & 10K, presented in partnership with the John and Jeani Ferrari Family Foundation, to be held at Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, CA is a trail run to connect people with nature, the environment and family farms that feed them, while furthering California Farmland Trust’s mission. Our goal is to foster a connection to the land and why we must slow the pace of development and protect farmland. Runners will weave their way through the scenic vineyard at Bokisch while taking in the vines, the habitat, and the value of open space that farmland provides. Your participation of the run connects you to the local community and demonstrates your support of agriculture. This is a family, stroller and pet-friendly event designed to get you out into the beauty of Lodi and a working vineyard.

Course: This is a trail run course that includes navigating uneven, dirt terrain with slight hills through a working vineyard.

Fees: Individual in-person participation, either 5k or 10k will include a custom race bib, finisher medal, paella brunch, glass of wine (for participants over 21 years old), and signature race swag.

We are seeking volunteers to help on Race Day. If you would like to volunteer, please click the Volunteer button in the header menu. There is no charge to volunteer and all volunteers will receive race swag.

Join the herd at the 2026 Urban Cow Half Marathon Weekend, Sacramento’s top running event! Start your weekend with a scenic 5K run/walk through beautiful William Land Park on Saturday, September 26, then take on the Half Marathon on Sunday, September 27. The Half Marathon course showcases Sacramento’s most iconic neighborhoods and landmarks, including Capitol Mall, DOCO, Old Sacramento, Tower Bridge, the Sacramento River, and more!
