Ride The Bridge - Bike The Bay!

    19th Annual Bike The Bay - August 23, 2026

San Diego's finest annual cycling event across the Coronado Bridge and around the bay. A fun time for all ages and all skill levels.

Ride the bridge, Bike the Bay! Cruise around San Diego Bay and enjoy your only opportunity to ride across the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge. This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway. Along the way, riders will travel through the surrounding cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, and National City before finishing back at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego.

Not only will the scenic 25-mile route travel through all five of these very diverse communities but it will also allow riders their only opportunity of the year to ride over the beautiful Coronado Bay Bridge. All riders will return to San Diego for a post-ride festival with food, beverage, beer garden, and entertainment.

The Bike the Bay ride is a fun and non-competitive ride for cyclists of all abilities. We encourage the β€œgo slow and say hello” model. The safety of all riders is our highest priority. Please observe the following rules/restrictions so everyone can enjoy a fun and safe ride:

Helmets are mandatory for all riders

Riders must be over the age of 10 years old to participate

Riders should use bike lanes when available and safe, and ride as close to the right-hand side of the road as practicable.

Riders must obey all rules of the road, traffic signals, crossing signals, and stop signs at all times.

Watch downhill speeds and stay in control at all times.

Unfortunately, due to the significant time and cost of planning this amazing event, we are not able to offer refunds.

Have FUN, be SAFE and ENJOY the ride!

Join us at the birthplace of the sport for the XTERRA Wetsuits Mission Bay Triathlon!

2026 is the 38th annual XTERRA Wetsuits Mission Bay Triathlon benefitting Life Sports Foundation. San Diego is the Birthplace of Triathlon! In 1974, the first Mission Bay Triathlon was as a run-bike-swim-run event on Fiesta Island by the San Diego Track Club. Every year competitors from around the country and from around the world, come to Mission Bay to celebrate the birthplace triathlon. We invite you to become part of this wonderful legacy event and become part of history!

The event offers races for adults and kids, from complete beginners to seasoned Professionals. There are many different races going on simultaneously, and while a traditional Triathlon is Swim / Bike / Run, KOZ Events, the organizer of the San Diego Triathlon Series, offers more of a Multisport Race. Our race is very inclusive and we make triathlon accessible to as many people as possible. We have the traditional Swim/bike/ Run Triathlon but we offer so much more. If you do not like swimming, we have the Duathlon which is a Run/ Bike/ Run, if you don’t want to bike then choose the Aquathlon Swim / Run, or if you don’t want to run choose the Aquabike Swim/Bike. We even have a Mini Distance Triathlon for beginners that want to try out the sport. We even offer free training groups every week to help people get started, train, and get connected to the San Diego Triathlon Community.
