Saturday morning – April 11, 2026 – 8:00 AM Race Start! Enjoy this one-of-a-kind route that winds through and around lovely downtown Adairsville, GA and Follows the Tracks where the actual Chase took place!!! The 5K start and finish are adjacent to the historic Downtown Adairsville Train Depot, Where the Great Locomotive Chase passed through on April 12th, 1862!! 164 Years ago! Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up: Friday, April 10th, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the Adairsville City Hall office located at 116 Public Square, Adairsville, GA 30103

AWARDS:

5K Overall: Awards will be given to the Top Three (3) Overall M&F finishers, as well as the Top Master M&F.

5K Age Groups: Awards will be given to the Top Three (3) male/female finishers in each of the following age groups: 10&Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & Over.

The 3rd annual Zachary M. Negrón Unforgettable Trail Race occurs Sunday, April 12, 2026. This race is a family-friendly event with a competitive edge. Both the 5K and 10K races are timed with a chip for those wanting some competition! This year, we are making it possible for the youngest runners to participate by including them in the day’s festivities with a Fun Run, which will allow those in second grade or younger to run a mile around the Georgia Cumberland Academy track.

We run in honor of two causes. The Unforgettable Foundation of Tennessee assists at-risk and grieving families with finances to help them afford a timely and dignified funeral for their children. The Zachary M. Negrón Memorial Scholarship gives scholarships to a select number of students at Georgia-Cumberland Academy who mirror the traits of perseverance and hard work, characteristics Zachary embraced as a student at GCA to accomplish his goals.

Through the broken pieces, the light will shine!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Blue Ribbon Glow Run is to raise child abuse awareness. DADE FIRST-Family Connection aims to help families make a big difference year-round through small acts that help protect children, strengthen families, promote traits that help protect families, and ultimately, prevent the abuse and neglect of children.

The Blue Ribbon Glow Run will be a FREE Event and people of all ages and families are encouraged to attend. This is a 1 Mile Run/Walk/Crawl.

The run will take place on the track around the Dade County High School football field. GATES OPEN AT 8:00 PM and the 1 MILE RACE starts at 9:00 PM.

Due to rising costs and the loss of some grant funding, we are asking for donations for t-shirts this year. We will still have free shirts with your online registration.

If you would like to donate to the cost of the shirts for the community, please VENMO @DadeFirst-Family Connection. In the memo line just mention Blue Ribbon Glow Run or (BRGR.) We thank you for your support!

The first 500 people signed up by MARCH 14TH will receive a free Blue Ribbon Glow Run shirt the night of the event.

For those of you who missed the online registrations, you can still sign-up the night of the event and may be able to get left over shirts.

**Complete your registration until you see the "Congratulations" banner and your confirmation codes. You will need the printed confirmation to pick up your shirts.

**In order to receive your shirt you must be at the registration table by 8:45 PM and must have your registration confirmation. Those who come after may not receive the size shirt they ordered. You have to be at the event in order to receive your shirt.
