Join us as we kick off Race Week at the International Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.

Your chance to run a great course AND finish the final stretch on the legendary Derby Downs Track.

Don't miss the chance to experience the excitement and beauty of the Kent State University at Stark campus, while hot air balloons float in the sky (weather permitting), on Saturday morning, July 25, for our UP, UP & AWAY 5K presented by OrthoUnited. This event is for both serious and casual runners and walkers.

Following the 5K run, at approximately 9:00 am, there will be a FREE KIDS FUN RUN on the track near the finish line. This is a non-competitive fun run for children ages 8 & under. This race is all about fun and friends while teaching them the importance of exercise and fitness! Waiver MUST be signed by parent/guardian.

Fighting the Silent Battle: A 2 mile, 4 mile, or 8 mile for Addiction, PTSD, & Recovery

The 2nd Annual Anthony Salem Challenge is more than a race—it is a movement.

Created in honor of Iraq Combat Veteran Anthony Salem, who tragically lost his battle with addiction and the invisible wounds of war on September 24, 2023, this event stands as a public declaration that no one should have to fight alone.

Every day, veterans and individuals in recovery wage an unseen war—against PTSD, addiction, trauma, and the weight of experiences most will never understand. Too many lose that battle in silence.

This challenge exists to change that.

On race day, participants will run, walk, or ruck a scenic 2 mile course, each step symbolizing the burdens so many carry quietly.

Your participation—and your fundraising—become part of someone’s survival story.

All proceeds power Running2bWell, helping provide:

• Bicycles for transportation

• Running shoes

• Race entries

• Community support and connection

• Helps fund a bicycle for transportation to work, meetings, and recovery groups.

For 15 incredible years, the Bulldog Dash has brought our community together—running, walking, cheering, and giving back. This year, proceeds will support nearly 2,000 students at Green Primary School and Green Elementary School, helping enhance classroom experiences and enrich educational opportunities where they matter most.
