Lake Run Club, established in 1982 is hosting a summer trail run competition consisting of the following events:

    • This event is part of the Lake Run Club's Trail Run Series, which includes Run the Woods 5K/8K in October and Deer Run 8K in December.

    • 12 Hour Sunrise to Sunset, which will be ran as a last man/women standing competition. Will be 51 miles if you complete each of the loops.

The course consists of a 4.1 mile long course, measured with Garmin GPS watch. This event you have exactly one hour to run the course. If a runner completes the loop in less than an hour, they are free to relax, refuel, hydrate, and use the facilities. So, if a person does the lap in 45 minutes, they have 15 minutes to wait around. If a runner finishes the 4.25 mile loop in 58 minutes, they have 2 minutes to use at their own discretion. At the top of every hour, on the hour, any runner not making it back from the loop will end their day of running for this race. Bib will be pulled. The following will be required to get to the finish line.

    • Strategic running skills

    • Tactical Positioning

    • Mental Toughness

Simultaneously, at the top of the hour, for twelve hours, runners that made it back in time will all line back up at the starting line to run the course again. This continually timed method is carried on till 7:00 PM, or until there is only a single person left standing. If there are multiple people that complete the distance, the fastest man and fastest women crossing the finish line on this final lap, will be the declared winners, but all that complete the final loop in the before the 6:59:59 PM will receive an award for the 12 hours of running they completed for the event.

    • Summer Siesta 6 hour trail run, which will start at the same time as the 12 hour event at 7:00 AM. This run will have the same format, but conclude at 1:00 PM. You can get in your Siesta waiting for your friends to complete the 12 hour race. Awards format will be same as the 12 hour event, overall male and female and awards for those runners who make the 6 hour trail run. 25.5 miles

    • Breakfast Club 3 hour trail run, this option will give you time to sleep in on Saturday and get a good 3 hour trail run. Starting at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 Noon. Same format, need to cover the distance on the before the stroke on the hour. Separate awards will be given to overall male and female. 12.75 miles

    • Come as you are 1 hour trail run, if your looking just to get out and enjoy nature for an hour and run with the race participants in a low key, non-competitive fashion, or would like to get an intro in a trail run, this is your chance. Registration will be available throughout the day till 6:00 PM. To avoid any confusion, with other competitors, you will start on the hour with no exceptions. No awards, but all of the same race amenities will be at your disposal throughout the day, post food and drinks. 4.25 miles

    • Run until I'm done, if you want to come out and run the loop completely at your leisure, without the pressure of completing the loop on the hour, then select this option. Course will be open for 12 hours. Complete as many loops with your own defined recovery time per each loop. A self service loop counter board will be available for the day. Consider your best trail etiquette to allow those runners in other timed categories to pass in single track sections.

    • Average High Temp in June is typically in the low to mid 80s with overnight lows in the 60s. In the event of thunderstorm/lightening in the area, the event could be paused until the risk is out of the area for all runners and volunteers safety.

    • Packet Pickup will be onsite from 5-7 PM on Friday.

    • Race Day Registration will be online only, no paper registration and at a higher cost. Please preregister to assist organizers with food and hydration purchases and expense management.
