    Everyday in East Africa, women and children walk an average of 5 kilometers to retrieve water for their families that is often unclean and unsafe for human use. Skylar's Run - Clean Water 5K event is focused on bringing awareness that Safe, Clean Water IS a solvable problem. Race headliner, Skylar Gwin, and his father, Paul, will be leading the wheelchair & stroller accessible "Walk & Roll" event as a testimony to the fact that EVERYONE can be part of the clean water solution, no matter their age or abilities.

    All funds raised through this event are used to provide sustainable water filters for vulnerable families in Kenya. This designation most often applies to those with limited means who have young children, elderly, physically disabled, or chronically ill family members. These populations are most susceptible to water-born illnesses.

    This event is a 5K Run/Walk or 1/2 Mile Walk & Roll event for the WHOLE FAMILY!! Come join the FUN as we raise money for SAFE, CLEAN WATER!

    Race Details:

    • Sign-in at park will begin at 7:15 am

    • Events will begin at 8:00 am (with staggered start times by event)

    • Registration includes t-shirt for participant, raffle ticket and post race drinks & snacks

    • 5K Race is a Certified Peachtree Qualifier

    • "Walk & Roll" event is held on an accessible, paved, 1/2 mile loop.

    • Registration for the "Walk & Roll" includes a free 'buddy' for the primary participant, no extra registration fee is needed. Race t-shirt for the 'buddy' is an optional purchase.

    Awards: 5K Race Medals for Top 3 Timed Finishers in each age/gender category (5K). 5K Race Trophies will be awarded for Overall Top 3 Finishers - Men and Top 3 Finishers - Women. 5KMedal ceremony & photobooth opportunity with Paul & Skylar will take place after all events have finished.

    "Walk & Roll" event will not be timed but all registrants will receive participation medals in a special awards ceremony.

    The Thriller Lake Endurance Run is a 12, 6, and 3 hour timed loop event on the 2.2 mile loop around Miller Lake at Little Mulberry Park in Gwinnett County, GA. It's a Halloween party combined with a race, featuring runners in costume, food, and music.

    For 2025, Classic Running and Mount To Coast are providing overall winners with their choice of shoes!

    The Trick or Treat Fun Run is for kids and adults of all ages looking for a trick or treat experience in a fun, safe, and positive community setting. Participants will complete one loop of the Miller Lake paved 2.2 mile trail with plenty of opportunities to experience the magic of Halloween. Costumes are highly encouraged, practically required! I mean, we'll be wearing ours
 We will have several trick or treat stations along the course stationed with costumed volunteers and most importantly, candy! And don’t worry, you don’t have to run, but as night falls, things may only get stranger

    Seriously though, the Fun Run will start at 630PM, just as the sun starts to set, aka dusk. Most walkers can complete this loop easily under an hour and should be done before full dark (7:30PM). We still encourage guests to bring a flashlight, headlamp, old-timey oil lantern, or a lit torch if you’re concerned about the dark. Ok, maybe not a real torch, but you get the point. Strollers are allowed but we will have to discourage any type of bicycles, scooters, or motorized devices unless medically necessary as there will be other runners on the course as well as the general public. Please remember to always be aware of others using the trail and keep to the right when others need to pass.

    The fun run will not be timed. Instead, every participant will get a glow-in-the-dark wrist band when you check in, so that our volunteers will know who is participating in the event. We’ll also have a special treat bag available for the kids, or they can bring their own!

    Did we mention costumes? Oh yeah, it wouldn’t be a Halloween event without a costume contest! The top two best costumes (as judged by TEAM SUMMIT(and we know our stuff when it comes to costumes)) will get acknowledged AND the overall BEST costume will receive tickets to a Falcons game, courtesy of our friends with the Falcons organization.

    Spectators and family are allowed in the start/finish area but everyone on the course must be registered for the event.

    PERC Coffee will be brewed on site for all participants, spectators, and crew!
