The Classic Kickoff 6K

Join us for our FOURTH annual “Keyed Up 5k” walk/run on FRIDAY, April 24th, at 8pm, sponsored by the Vocal Patrons Association at GlenOak High School!

Our 5k is a relaxed evening event and walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us! The 2026 edition features a return of last year’s popular "GLOW MODE", powered by neon, loud colors, and your own energy and style as you run, walk, or crawl along the course starting and ending at GlenOak stadium.

Back this year is the "fun run" for kids 12 and under who aren't ready to walk or run through the 5k!

This year we are moving away from timing all runners, and focusing on moving, music, and celebrating our choral arts programs together. The top 3 men and top 3 women runners will have recorded times and receive trophies, and all other participants will note their own times as they cross the finish line and join the celebration!

Vocal Patrons Association raises funds to support the vocal arts programs at GlenOak, and 100% of money raised goes to provide direct financial support for the choral programs throughout Plain Local Schools. We hope you will join us as we move in harmony together!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure that starts on Nimishillen Creek and ends at Gervasi Vineyard! Start at Martindale Park with a 1.5-mile kayak trip to the Middlebranch Trailhead at Spangler Ave, NE. Once you’re ashore, continue the excitement with a 2.5-mile run or walk to Gervasi Vineyard. Cap off the race with a pour of wine or a strawberry sage lemonade at the finish line and celebrate the day by enjoying the beautiful grounds of Gervasi Vineyard. Don’t miss this unique race experience combining nature, fitness, and fun! *Perfect for all experience levels.

Join us in making a difference! The proceeds from this charitable race will support Cleveland Clinic Mercy Mission Outreach Food Insecurity Program. Your contributions will help fund our biweekly outreach efforts, where prepared meals and vital health information are distributed to neighborhoods in need throughout Canton. Together, we can provide food and hope to the homeless, children, and individuals facing food insecurity. Every step you take helps us nourish our community and promote healthier lives for those in need.

The HERO 5K Run/Walk is a looped 3.1 mile run-walk along 13th street in Perry Township on Monday, May 25. This is the 12th year for the HERO 5K Run/Walk and is an event in conjunction with the Perry Township Flags of Freedom and Perry Project Group. All participants are encouraged to sign up before race day. Race day registration is $45.00.

Shirts:

We offer size Youth Small to Large and Adult Small to 3X-Large, plus we have $5 discount for a no shirt option. T-Shirts will be limited after May 10 with limited selections.

Medals:

All participants will receive a medal! We offer a no participation medal option for a $5 discount, please select during the registration process if your not interested in receiving a medal.

Find your stride as we race through the Southeast neighborhood, kicking off at the Southeast Community Playground. Join the 5k fun and walk or run to help Habitat continue its work in Southeast Canton. All are welcome for a morning of getting active and building communities together. If you have littles that don't need a race bib, bring them to walk/run with you! Register by May 5 to guarantee a Southeast Stride t-shirt.
