Take a break from the city and escape to Catawba Island at the Coast to the Oast, presented by Shores & Islands Ohio, for a fully supported bike ride in partnership with our friends at Eriesponsible and Twin Oast Brewing. Enjoy a morning ride on a marked route before finishing up at Twin Oast Brewing for some refreshments and live music on the lawn.

Come Tour Catawba Island on Fantastic, Fully Supported Bicycle Routes!

The 7th Annual Coast to the Oast is Saturday, September 19th, starting and finishing at Twin Oast Brewing! This is a ride for ages 13 and over due to riding in the roadways and abilities with clearly signed courses of ride routes.

This is a fully supported ride with rest stops and support vehicles along the routes to curb your hunger or alleviate any bike issues. The ride begins and ends at the beautiful Twin Oast Brewing, and your entry fee includes a beverage from Twin Oast, soft-fit shirt, stocked aid stations, and post-ride entertainment on the lawn at Twin Oast.

Best of all – the proceeds from this ride benefit Eriesponsible and their mission of “Taking Steps Now to Maintain the Health of Lake Erie for Future Generations”!

    The 2026 Ride Experience

    10 Miler Route

    • The route is described as “a scenic lap around Catawba Island.”

    • Ride through many of the island’s local neighborhoods offering charm and lower traffic — making it a comfortable ride for a wide range of participants.

    30 Miler Route

    • You’ll ride through a mix of coastal roads, charming residential zones, and scenic views of Lake Erie—all while staying on a course tailored for a morning of enjoyable cycling.

    • The terrain is suitable for most road cyclists; it balances scenic enjoyment with a solid 30-mile distance that delivers a meaningful ride without being an ultra-endurance challenge.

    50 Miler Route

    • Riders will follow much of the 30-mile route, with an added special 20-mile loop to bring the total up to 50 miles.

Scenic coastal roads, glimpses of Lake Erie, and gentle terrain make this a great long-ride option that balances challenge with enjoyment.

    • Because this is a longer distance, riders are encouraged to complete it within 5 hours (approximate 10 mph average) to ensure full access to aid station support.

    *Routes are subject to change.

Since this ride is on open roadways, riders are strongly encouraged to have lights on the front & back of their bike to give extra visibility to traffic.
